Loved it. Great experience, really innovative use of space. There's something oddly satisfying about sliding a piece into another and seeing them fit, perfectly... it's almost as if, on a subconscious level, the idea of a shape filling another represents pleasure... I wonder why?
New easiest way to win... Stick with the first vehicle, use 3 maxed out EMPs. When one runs out, wait until the enemies start firing again (about 5 seconds after the end of the EMP) then fire the second one. Beat the boss using this, with maxed out miniguns. It had about 30 drones flying around, all rendered impotent.
I'm enjoying it, but why the curse words? It's a child friendly game until the scrolling bar at the top just does a poor version of that old navy seal copypasta from like... a decade ago? What's the point?
So this is Trimps crossed with Idling to Rule the Gods...? I dig that. What I can't do is the constant fourth wall breaking. The pally-pally chat messages about sandwiches and the throwaway "jokes" are just puerile (to me, at least). This is nothing against the Dev. Great job with the game, I just don't enjoy being interrupted constantly with LOL-so-random commentary :/
Nailed it! Finally! That last level has a knack to it, and it really doesn't fit with the rest of the game. I hated it, until I finished it. Now I feel like the best gamer in the world.
I'm rather enjoying this game! On thing that makes me genuinely sad, is that on ach track, you have to buy the new car, regardless of whether it is needed. I jumped the school bus in the buggy using max nitro, and was quite proud of that. Then the game arbitrarily stops me from progressing, for no reason. Some games reward innovative gameplay and skill, other don't. It felt a little cheated a this point, but other than that, this game is very enjoyable. Thank you guys.
I just don't think that an alien force with super-advanced rocket launchers beating back repeated waves of humans, using the same tactics over and over is quite as "unbelievable" as the announcer would have us believe...
I'm going to be controversial here, but I don't like the way these games have gone. The very first game was crazy difficult difficult in parts. This all feels dumbed down and... for kids. The puzzles are painfully easy, and I completed it mainly out of posterity. It's not challenging anymore. I guess for a younger audience, it's probably great. But for me, personally, someone who loved the challenge of the first game and the feeling of success after getting beaten over and over (that train level anyone?), this is now just too tame.
Ok, initial thoughts are: This is a lot, and I mean a LOT better than I thought it was going to be. A physics bike racing game, with a cheap girly gimmick and utterly appauling mechanics. It's not. It's functional, the ride feels good, and you can {R} to restart. Lovely. The downside is that the levels are way too long, and a sligh mess up means you have to start again. I'm on level 2, and I won't be going further until it's more forgiving.
I should like this. I really should. It has a nice, if overdone, concept, with pleasing graphics and decent mechanics. But something about being timed for 3 stars, unable to quickly go back, being pushed into the next level without knowing it's happening... I feel irritated, and it's like I can't quite put my finger on why. Oh, and when I'm a little faster with controls, the game just kills you, by not letting you cut a string or by just removing the screen so you die. I don't get that.
This actually made me really nostalgic for another game... a game I played a while back, called Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. Awesome story with short, not overly complicated game aspects. For a game to do that, it must be pretty damn good.
This is going to sound fagotty... but the AI actively has such an enormous advantage in later levels... A weapon that can remove a building that cost 1500... in 1 hit? No. Just no. I'm rage quitting, because it's not fun trying to deal with that. Sorry. Good game. But no. GG
Sorry, can someone just confirm for me... Am I somehow over complicating this game, or is it really as hard as it seem? I'm LOVING this... but I have a horrible feeling there's people out there who can finish a level in 20 seconds when it's taking me 15 mins (and I'm only half way through this one).
Yes, this game is rather hard. If you are playing for the first time - don't bother to time. Believe me, there are even levels you will be solving for hours :). I'm glad you love it!
UPDATE: Remember also that exit is opened after 1 star and you can then finish level. You can back later to that level and get 2 or 3 stars.
Sorry friendo, but this game was not made for immersion
