After multiple attempts, I finally got the hard badge by getting 3 or 4 tunnels in a row. Tunnels got to be the easiest way to gain multipliers~. Anyway, great game, but a little tutorial would help, I was lost at the beginning.
Quite addictive, and I love challenge. It seems easy, and always seem easy, but the farther we go, the faster it gets, the harder it gets to follow the rails and the more it hurt my eyes :|
The thief got some issues. Having only good EVD, I've been stuck in the second area until level 29. As soon as I got level 30, I got my class upgrade and now, I can Idle in Death desert, 3 areas farther :|.
Compared to the first chapter, this one is sooooo much better, most likely because it lasts like 10 times longer. The gameplay is good ennough to enjoy the battles, the plot seems to be thought of in advance, but especially, there is a lot of humor in the dialogs, as random as they can get. This is probably the only game where I "want" to talk to every single NPC. There is still room to improvements thought, like a better equipment menu, it gets confusing to keep track of which items can be equipped and which equips can give reactions.
The Goblin invasion has to be the most troublesome level for me. The rain of goblins prevents my units of going to the enemy castle, and the dark goblin gets to kill anyone that manages to near the castle. Good thing he isn't immune to everything, managed to win after my Sky Dragon finally got near the castle to take care of the dark goblins. When I went to the upgrade, I saw I got 900k Gold x)
Okay, I know a lot of work went into this game, but I have come across a lot of inconveniences. Menu-wise, I have found it difficult to find what to do. I created the band, then all I saw at first was the interface for creating a song. It took me a while to see that items in the background were the real menu, and even longer to see how to save a song. Second inconvenience is the gameplay when playing songs. It's different than the usual set-up for showing the notes that comes, but I prefer a lot more the linear set-up, it's a lot easier to see double-notes coming and to see the rythm. It also felt a bit disynchronized, making me miss notes that I was sure I had right. Else than those inconveniences, the game is great and stands aside from the other games of the same genre.
This game made me think of the Ancient Cave from Lufia II. I enjoyed it a bit, althought it got repetitive and the difficulty varied too much with the items I was getting (a bit hard with an old weapon, suddenly gets easy once I get a better weapon). At about the 70th floor, I bought every potions from every shop and rushed through the rest of the cave, buying new weapons in shops and ignoring stat shards, and succeeded without too much trouble. Actually, the boss was disappointing, I felt that the golems were harder to kill.
What an ignorant dude! He doesn't know how to think, how to move, how to eat, and look really strangely, thinking that he has no hair. But anyway, this game made me laugh a laugh, especially the suicide and the shit before play scenarios. Strangely ennough, I had the need to go to the bathroom as I was playing this game. Coincidence?
I liked this game. The conversations are fun to read and I felt that some of the weapons were nicely thought. Challenges were also fun to do, some were really tricky. I also liked the very last level, gave me a nice powerlevel through every single of my weapons and through 20 worth of character level, while still giving myself an enjoyable fight. Only bad thing is that the controls are somewhat bad placed, so I prefered to avoid using them at all.
Level 12 is too hard! 1/5! No seriously, I found that somewhat funny. Always seeing those people who give 1/5 just because they didn't like something not always important, sometimes even irrevelent (-no mute button 1/5! -Just look in the options...). Personally, I only give 1/5 when the game really is that bad (some game I played, which had somewhat horrible graphics but also had a major bug that didn't allow me to even get the easy badge.) Else, I just lower the score depending on how many major things I didn't like.
First! No, really, that's quite a nice variant from that kind of puzzle. Gets more challenging as the additionnal features appear. However, this game lacks some things to get us in, mainly graphics and music. Also, random doesn't seem to be always solvable. I tried a difficulty 1 and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get at least the top row to be all active.
