The Outpost weapons kinda fail you once you get into the mutant areas. Your personal firepower increases to keep up with the tougher enemies, but the outpost guns don't, and even on Easy you reach a point where there just aren't enough seconds in a minute to keep up with the amount of time you have to focus your fire on each target.
Also, I kinda wish the Detector didn't hide contacts as they get close. It makes it hard to keep track of enemies in chaotic melees where the carpet of dead enemies camouflages the living ones.
I thought strength training was too hard. The sideways apples get me every time, I keep confusing them with grounders. They both have a flat trajectory at the same speed, and almost at the same height.
There should be an achievement for getting a headshot with every weapon.
Also, this might be the only game I've ever played where nukes are used as a melee weapon.
I swear I've heard this music before. What is it?
And do I recognize it from somewhere else, or just from another Picma game? It sounds like RPG music...
The cell mission is complicated slightly by the way the mortars always aim right at the emitter, even if the emitter doesn't work and is just there for decoration.
It really should say sooner that you need to set Flash's storage to unlimited to get rid of the lag.
Of course, that opens the question of just WHY such a simple game needs over 10MB of storage when none of the other Kong games I play don't...
Well, I'd LIKE to download the full version, but it keeps giving me a proxy error 502 whenever I try. (It also seems to point to the main page of a non-dedicated download site, which seems a little fishy).
The game keeps switching between my ships, so that consecutive volleys I was intending to come from the same ship don't, even if the original ship had enough AP for all of them. It's convenient in the beginning when they can only fire once each anyway, but it becomes insanely annoying later. Is there a way to toggle that off?
I think I must have accidentally fought a caravan or patrol squad at some point. Now the Desert Patrol attacks me occasionally and I can't figure out how to fix my reputation so they'll leave me alone and every time it happens I have to either reload or send my rep further into the hole. Can anyone help?
Despite what the walkthrough says, you CAN get the Miasmal Chalices after collecting the Crystals. You still get random battles, just at a lower probability.
I've never played any of the games that MARDEK would make me nostalgic for, and I STILL think it's one of the best games I've ever played! Way to go Pseudolonewolf!!
i find the things to upgrade first are the main cannon and the Temporous. Then you just slap a patch of Temporous on each portal, and then when the entire wave is stuck you fire your plasma beam and fry the lot of them
