Good start to the game but extremely easy and repetative. Just because you change the side of the map the entrance and exit on doesn't mean it is harder.
Game eventually repeats the final level. (5 towers, 1 in center) Played it 6 times and never had anything new. Good game though, some levels took several plays to figure out (and some luck). Like others said, some minor balance issues and loss of gatherer stinks. 4/5 for effort, 5/5 with changes.
The game does not lag it is your pc. It is slow to bring up the preloader though. There needs to be a start button, I wanted to read what the upgrades were before I started but did not have the time. There also needs to be a break every 5 or 10 levels. Was disappointed that the speed did not upgrade after a certain point (lvl 3 I think) and was EXTREMELY disappointed that the hammer graphic didnt change at lvl 30. I think you need to add more upgrades and maybe make the upgrades cost a little more.
There is no reason to upgrade your tower. I simply built as many lvl 1 towers as my funds would allow and never lost a life. One thing I like about TD games is figuring out which tower(s) I have to use in the right quantities, upgraded at what level in order to win. Normally I dont like CYOTD but you did a pretty good job with this one. Gave you a 2/5 because it is nothing spectacular and isnt terrible.
Finally someone who understands the reason people play shooter games is because of the upgrades. The game is very well done with one exception; In the later levels, making the stages longer and longer of the same monsters I can 1 hit kill anyway doesn't make the level harder.
Upgrades still cost too much. I have tried and tried to get 1500 but the closest I could get is 1300. I like the general feel of the game. Perhaps if the player's ship was more manuverable or took less damage per hit.
The controls feel a little sloppy, my plain was always over flying my mouse and could never shoot a straight line. The only real way to hit a ship safely is with the upgraded bombs/missle. Liked the concept though. 2/5
My complaint is there is no upgrades for your ship or weapon. Yes, there are a lot of mines but the problem isnt the number it is that the ship is oversized for the space available to navigate in. Game runs fine, despite what others say, but the fast moving walls to lend to a sort of eye straining hypnosis. 1/5
