I truly enjoyed this game. Easy to learn, easy to play, just the right length of time, upgrades, music that isnt obnoxious, etc etc. There is nothing negative I can say. 5/5
Mildly amusing. The one thing I really liked over other "distance throw" games is this one didnt take a week for farming money to finish it. 3/5 Nothing innovative, but nothing to complain about.
I noticed a glitch, at first it was my imagination, but it isnt. I was using the space bar to drop masses of souls and thought more units were being dropped than I had... and they were. Repeatedly I saw 1 more soul drop into the field than I had when I first pressed space.
The game is obviously unfinished, but I think there might be some merit to it. The biggest thing it lacks right now is a purpose. There is no definable goal, no reason to continue on. Timi2 said his farm was 207 land, so obviously he wanted to expand as far as he could. I personally wanted cheetahs on crack, so I have 200 speed.
Some of the updates are nice. Derringer's build is pretty much one of the few ways to survive and cookie cutter builds are frustrating to me. The drone didnt seem to be very helpful, but I couldnt really pay a lot of attention to him. I would probably like to see a "talent map" or "tree" to make planning ahead a little easier.
Its an ok game. the difficulty curve becomes incredible around stage 4-5. I was using max finger of anubis and holy shield and still felt helpless / hopeless most of the time. I was disappointed that the upgrades only yeilded more damage, and not additional attributes such as faster fire rate, additional bolts fired, chain effect on finger, etc etc. The last weapon is worthless when you have to stand in 1 place to use it. The skull-spider boss was very cool looking. Only complaint is with a shield just stand right in his face and fire until the side skulls spit fire, then pick a back corner and fire. No challenge there. 2/5 but could easily hit 5/5 with changes to upgrade system.
I really like the game. Only complaint is the "neverending dungeon" shouldnt repopulate monsters that are significantly below your level. LOVE the "Gygax's Pants"!!! Hilarious!!!
Gun upgrades are next to worthless. I went from a decent shot gun to a craptacular shotgun that shot half as fast and did the same damage and not nearly as accurate. 2/5
Just finished all 100 levels. There are a few units that outshine all others. Early on, catapult man. Your best combo for many levels is the Pheonix and Ogre. The is the best defense I could find against those upgraded green dragons. Your next main unit is the Centaur. He is fast and if upgraded, does GREAT damage. From here, the only other unit you need is the Medieval Warship. It flys VERY fast and once upgraded, it is the only unit you need for levels 50-90. You will have enough points to buy most upgrades so dont worry about making a mistake... but the Chaos Robot doesnt seem to do anything.
Just finished the first page of missions and I like the game a lot. Myonly 2 complaints are it needs a speed up button and perhaps a skill reset. Twice I thought I was buying prerequisites for a skill only to notice I screwed up. 5/5
Great game. Pace is great, love the mystery of finding out what is next in each of the upgrades. Great variety in weapon styles. The autofire on all weapons are nice on finger pain, but a little unrealistic. Would love to see part 2 to be longer.
