I wanted to love this game. I really did. The idea, the graphics, and the fact that you have to manage logistics are all great ideas. However, the insanely irritating way you maintain logistics meant I didn't actually get past the first non-tutorial mission. I watched in irritation as I tried to push my front line forward, only to watch the survivors begin pathing back to depots near the bottom of the map. This is after I had set the quota for those depots to zero. I tried to use the "gather nearby resources" button on the depot I wanted them to move to, only to watch in horror as they continued their path to the original destination, all the way across the map... THEN walked all the way back north. I easily won the scenario still, but the thought of having to laboriously issue commands in a way to try and compensate for this poor AI was too much; I did not play further. 3/5 for a great concept, executed with such a large issue I could not bring myself to play.

Honestly, the biggest issue is the hp counters. They update so slowly that I have to sit there waiting for the hp to update, or just battle on with no clue how much health anyone has. Particularly noticeable on Last Flake, when using Rage. I get to my next turn, and I still haven't finished losing health from the Rage, let alone seeing what I regenerated or what the enemy hit me for. Obviously the game keeps track internally, it's just not being displayed.

Decent game, but annoying level design detracts. For example, on The Drain I had the ball reset while falling down the drain three times in a row; clearly the stopwatches are there to prevent that sort of thing from happening, but they need better spacing or something.

4/5, only for one flaw: when issuing orders to attack or transfer, they clearly happen in the order you input them, and they let you type in numbers higher than are present in the territory at the time the order is given, yet will not execute the attack/transfer with the typed in number, even when the appropriate number is present at the time of the attack/transfer. For example, playing level number two, I had 2 armies in Brazil, 4 in North Africa, and 2 in Egypt. Tan had control of S. Europe. My command was: Transfer 1 army from Brazil to N. Africa (which would then have 5), transfer 4 armies from N. Africa to Egypt (which would then have 6), then attack S. Europe with 5 armies. The transfer from N. Africa to Egypt only transferred 3 armies, and the attack on S. Europe only was executed with a single army. This is fine, if this is the rule.... the downrating is for allowing the player to input a command that is then not executed.

A few things I might suggest if you do a sequel (not sure they could be done with the game as is). First, find a way to keep old units from being obsolete (wall upgrade is a good idea, but golem might need lower damage; a tank, if you will). Second, have later levels give more resources for victory (it feels odd that early levels are easier, but just as lucrative). Third, if a territory is attacked, let spending resources guarantee victory (right now, you can win if you spend nothing, and lose if you do spend, which makes me feel like it's always a poor idea to spend resources). Last, upgrading feels like a poor idea as is (upgrade cost is based on original cost, making golems/knights extremely expensive to upgrade, yet a level 2 knight is no different than 2 level 1 knights side-by-side; perhaps let the upgrades not only increase number, but stats as well). 5/5, and an enjoyable solid game, just my thoughts for the future, take them or leave them, your game after all :)

As a follow-up, if you do another one of these, you should include the max score display up-front, and include an achievement for getting maximum score across all levels... just my thoughts of course. I already rated this one 5-stars :)

Excellent game; especially fond of the addition of max score display, as well as explaining what score depends on. Let's completionists try to get perfect scores without wasting time doing silly things like restarting the level because we got distracted and slowed down a bit... not that I did that or anything <.< >.>

3/5. Many ships seem odd, and some are actually worse than cheaper versions... Demo Man is iffy at best, due to the inability to intentionally detonate bombs and the fact that bombs don't detonate on contact with the enemy, while Shock and Awe actually pushed an enemy beyond reach (I pushed an enemy outside the bubble arena, and it didn't seem to want to ever come back. Enemy drones are no different than homing missiles, in that they cannot attacked, yet they look different which is counter-intuitive and lures the player into taking unnecessary damage not through lack of skill, but because it is natural that you can destroy enemies. Asking me to follow you on social sites in order to gain in-game currency isn't incentive for me to follow you, it's reason to stop playing (I detest meta-game incentives). Last, I *do* get up in arms when people ask me to vote for them. I'll make up my own mind, telling me to vote for you is pointless and a waste of *both* our time.

3/5; I personally detest any game that keeps me guessing as to what I'm trying to do, without any clues whatsoever. (I'm referring, in this case, to the medals). I'll check back; if the game itself, or any developer, provides clarification, I'll probably up it to a 5 (depending on how I like the rest of it; quit after level 5 thus far.)

@Keynup: I believe people downrate for off-site features because some people (myself included) prefer staying on the same site as much as possible. In general, I find Kongregate to have a better design than a lot of other sites, and dislike feeling that I'm being pressured to go to another site to get the "real" game. Typically I won't downrate if it's a few features that I don't feel are essential, but if they're substantial or powerful that merits a downrate from me. Facebook integration in the actual game itself, of course, is an automatic 1/5 from me, on principle; if I wanted Facebook crap, I'd be on Facebook, not Kongregate.

I read the description and expect a fun tower defense game. I load it up, and find a Facebook game... there are multiple reasons I don't play those games elsewhere, and come to this site instead. The first time I was asked if I wanted to brag to my friends, I stopped playing and will not be back. 1/5. If you want to do crap like this, keep it on Facebook.

Honestly, I don't care if he's stopped paying attention or not, I just played this game for the first time so I'm commenting on it. I decided that I really liked this game, but hated the walkthrough box.... so I started at a rating of 5, and dropped one rank every time it popped up when I was trying to reset the level, and opened when I didn't want it to. Final rank: 1/5

Good game..... however, automatic 1/5 for the walkthrough link (which I only clicked on accidentally) taking me to facebook against my will and without any forewarning. I make a point of not going to that site unless absolutely necessary, anyone that takes me to that site without advance warning for any reason is instantly on my bad side.

Good game overall. Only two complaints, really. First, I dislike the logo in-level. I have no issue with the logo being in the game, even during the game itself (like on the level select screen), but its presence in the battle screens is distracting and obnoxious. Second, I dislike the idea that we need to upgrade our weapons and shields for the purpose of not using them, to get more points. If we need to upgrade for the purpose of increasing points earned, let us upgrade our multiplier or some such.

The absurd ease with which civilians die is the only flaw.... but the fact that a civilian can die simple from momentary contact with a *dead* enemy is incredibly annoying. 4/5.
