3/5. -1 For the business with the external links (I'm not going to follow you on Facebook, and if you're offering cash content, say it up front, not after you've bilked a few dollars out of me following a link), and -1 for the lack of information regarding rankings. Solid game overall, marred by a few yet very obvious and hard to ignore flaws :(
As Revvys said, many of the levels feel like you have to do the same thing over and over again.
Beyond that, there are a lot of levels that have little if anything to do with puzzle solving, and more with "HAHA GOTCHA, YOU DIDN'T KNOW THIS LEVEL AHEAD OF TIME SO YOU LOSE". Level 28 is a good example; you barely have time to get the barrel in place to save your fruit, so unless you know ahead of time what needs to be done, you cannot solve the puzzle. That's not good puzzle solving; you shouldn't be required to fail a level (or look at a walkthrough) before you are able to solve it.
4/5. A few complaints:
-Drowsiness is so severe that it seems necessary to have the fireman to protect you. That limits how useful it is to have a huge roster of available characters.
-... on that point, why even bother having drowsiness cures? Everytime I get hit with it, I just fall asleep immediately, which subsequently leads to my death as the bugs just keep me asleep.
-If you only want players wearing one defensive item at a time, make it logical. If they're all different vests or different hats or something, that makes sense. If I can't wear a hat because I have a vest on....
-Having the option to instantly use a medkit even if you're full would be nice. Yes, you can bring a character like a dog to see what you're about to find... but as stated above, the necessity of having certain stat boosts later on makes that less viable.
My strategy for 42 was a bit... unorthodox.
1) Use the regular bazooka to bush the zombie above the bolder back a bit (don't need to hit the zombie, just hit the little barrier in front of him.
2) Pick up the bouncers.
3) Use the bouncers to knock the zombie above the boulder off; if done perfectly, the zombie will fly up into the air and land on the boulder (gratuitous death).
4) Use bouncers to knock the zombies inb ack off their platforms.
Now for some reason, I couldn't hit the box to get the punching glove to work. So instead, I used the bouncers to push the boulder up the hill into the zombies in back. Worked well enough, got a score of 10k exactly.
Have to say, not one of my favorite tower defenses. Not trying to be harsh, but a lot of the mechanics felt like they were there to make the game more annoying, not more fun. The lowest levels of the towers have few abilities, making their use marginally strategic at best, and the ground types seem to serve only to limit your strategic options. In the end, the means of victory seem pretty obvious, because you have so few things you can actually do.
Still, the graphics are nice, it's intuitive as far as the controls are concerned, and the player levels + talents were a nice touch. 3/5.
