I really want to like this game, but I struggle to think of it as a good game because the more I play it, and the more invested and involved I get in succeeding, the less I get to play. I've made a decent amount of progress (level 19, 48 gold stars, level 6 command center). In order for me to make progress now, I need to wait days to get enough resources to level up my troops/facilities. My next command center upgrade is 72 hours. 72 HOURS! That's insane. I have fun playing, but you want me to walk away for 3 days while my facility upgrades (I know I can do other things, but it's basically just collecting resources while I wait for upgrades/research to finish). I really want to like this game, but you keep telling me I can't play. I have 13 special/elite chests that I can't open because I don't have enough keys. I really wish this game involved a little more than just waiting around for resources to accumulate. I don't even mind the P2W, I just wish everything didn't take so darn long.
Really interesting and fun game. I agree with others that the controls can be a bit difficult, and the star for mistakes isn't a great choice, but overall I think the game is great. If you make a few edits, I think it can be 5/5. As is, 4/5. Thanks for making it!
For the hard badge, get at least laser gun as your standard weapon, max out your supports, then take more health, double damage, and unlimited jumps. Start at the beginning (no jetpack) to pick up keys that you might need later. If you have regeneration maxed out, you'll probably be good. It might seem like an impossible task, but once you get these upgrades, it shouldn't be overly difficult as long as you keep grabbing those health packs.
Also, this game is fun, but it becomes too much of a grind. I never even got the Tesla weapon because it's not worth trying to get all those individual quests. I have over 130K in gold, but I can't spend it b/c weapons aren't unlocked.
Whoever labeled this game "relaxing" is a lunatic or a masochist. Maddeningly frustrating! (not necessarily in a bad way. Fun game, well executed. Just tough at times to feel successful.
Really fun game, but if you get a bad random event (Ice Age, in particular) it makes it almost impossible to win on hardest level unless you get a lot of random good events. Losing half of your population growth for 20 turns is really really tough.
It doesn't make a lot of sense that you can shine your flashlight anywhere in the board. Make it a little harder and add something else to do besides go right out and it'll be a better game.
For those confused about the final message, it's a continuation of the previous message (KIND OF LIKE METROID ...INCLUDING ICO). Look up the game Ico. Or just use this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ico
This game is fun, but it has serious flaws. I hate games where the "AI" involves simply stacking the odds against the player. I play smarter than the AI, but it wins because it can attack 8 against 7 and win, whereas I attack 12 on 7 and lose half my army.
The human and AI play by the exact same rules. 8v7 is only a 6% chance, so if you really saw that, you should go buy a lottery ticket. Also, in custom games, you can adjust how much that luck affects the game by dragging down the Luck Percentage setting.
The game overall is fun to play, but it did have some weak points. I liked how you had to present the different clues to the right people to get them to share more information, but the "look them in the eye" mini-game was totally useless. Finding clues was not insanely difficult like it is in some of these games. There definitely was a detective feel to the game as you had to return to various places as you gained more information. The music and the random grunting were definitely annoying after 5 minutes. I think the end game was actually the most well done. You not only had to identify the murderer & weapon, but you had to show that you actually followed the clues as well. Overall, I give it a 4/5. I'd definitely like to see more games!
Not bad, a bit repetitive. I liked that you could upgrade the town and the market was a cool idea. The fact that the more you upgrade the catapult the slower it gets until it's deadly slow was incredibly annoying. There were times I wished I hadn't upgraded it. The Orc boss was definitely the hardest - much harder than the final boss. Overall a decent game. 3/5.
Waaaay too easy, and the AI occasionally makes ridiculously bad moves (like moving his War machine right next to my Annihilator). Still, a good concept overall. Good maps, but needs AI work. 4/5
That was a HELL of a lot easier after I realized that the costs are not cumulative (like if buy 5 levels of something at once, you only pay the cost of the most expensive level, not the total cost of all added up). I don't know if that's a glitch or not, but it sure makes the game a lot easier.
fun game, but having enemy's (and fighters) fly off the screen can get INSANELY annoying. I routinely will be doing well, but there will be 10-15 enemies chasing one fighter off screen, so it's very hard for me to shoot them, then when the one fighter dies, all the enemies come after the mothership and do incredible damage. Other than that, very fun. 4/5
This game is fun, and a great concept, but I keep jumping towards something that's lit, and when I get there, it goes out for no explicable reason. I don't know if its buggy or what, but it's very frustrating. 3/5.
