@Vamps10 @stabz Also, to be fair, they have YEARS of Kongpanions. I imagine they might be dry on ideas for new ones. Why not give the older Kongpanions a chance for newer users?
@banaan12 @Frostwerks - I'll do it for them: https://www.kongregate.com/forums/1-kongregate/topics/1932807-here-are-ways-to-continue-playing-flash-games-in-2021
@muser521 You can't fall too high on a spike. If you fall a height of four blocks or higher on a spike, then the player dies. If a spike is flashing red, then you can't land on it unless you land on something safe that's higher up than the spike first. tl;dr: don't fall too high on spikes
A reminder that a miscommunication is what got us into this mess lol: https://www.kongregate.com/forums/1-kongregate/topics/1932722-update-regarding-botds-1-23-the-future-of-flash-games-on-kongregate#posts-13564980
@Jpileatus The problem is that getting new badges has to be done via reports now. Games opening in the native Supernova window rather than it being done on the browser itself means that no new information is being sent to Kong's API. As a result, automatic information-sending to Kong's site is broken.
If only Kong got a in-browser deal like Newgrounds did. We're stuck with an API that doesn't function when it's in a new window. I mean I suppose I can keep taking screenshots, but I don't want to bother them over and over every time I need a new badge. It just feels like I'd flood their inbox.
@wherebear - I got the same issue. The game runs fine on Firefox, but it's not registering my achievements. The file even transferred to Google, since the extension doesn't run here. Am I going to have to send reports and screenshots to claim any badges I don't have for now?
Considering the many, many versions of Flash that different games went through, I'm not surprised SuperNova doesn't work. It's going to be a long while until we find a new normal for flash content that has compatibility with every Flash game out there.
I guess it's going to be a while until Kong finds a new normal to keep their flash games working. Maybe they can get a dev-deal too like Newgrounds did for more stability.
I like how easy it is to get money and that there's a Sandbox mode to experiment with a design that you want to be your end-game design. This is a nice change of pace from grindier games.
