Not bad. A few suggestions: 1) Save after each boss is dead, not every ten seconds. 2) Use a tabbed upgrade system, with a descending list of affordable upgrades, followed by the unaffordable upgrades. 3) The first boss should be killable in ten seconds, right from the start. The long wait at first is probably turning people away.
FWIW, if you change the tilt mechanism line to
rigidbody.rotation = Quaternion.Euler ( 0.0f, rigidbody.velocity.x * (tilt / 4.0f), rigidbody.velocity.x * -tilt);
your ship will also tilt slightly left/right, which gives better feel to the game and allow shooting slightly left and right. (This is presuming that this is based on the 'Space Shooter' tutorial.)
This actually has a *lot* of promise, but you'll need to get right on it if you want to make the weekly top list.
1. Full screen and zoom. I am *not* straining my eyes trying to fit together pieces the size of a grain of rice.
2. A shifting key to lock rotation to set angle multiples (i.e. 15 degrees)
3. Undo. To 'gamify' everything, the more you use it, the more 'frustrated' you get. (i.e. the screen takes on a reddish tinge, and the more angry you get, the harder it is to see.)
4. LEAVE THE BLODDY BOX WHERE WE CAN SEE IT! Make the box picture blurry or increase frustration whenever you look at it or something, so it won't be too easy.
2/5 for now, but I'd happily double my score if you fix the game.
Not bad, but *please* zoom the game out more. Yes, you have fancy graphics for your car, but it is *far* more important to be able to see more than 30 feet in front of me! Even better, have a dynamic zoom, so I can see what is X seconds away; the faster I'm going, the more I'm zoomed out and vice versa.
Could you please make one, simple change? Have each click of the scroll wheel go up/down one hero, instead of needing *DOZENS* of clicks per hero? The current behaviour is *SOOO* irritating!
Also, it doesn't register scrolling between hero/upgrade boxes, so if you scroll too slowly, it stops until you move the cursor back onto a box. As there won't be anything else on that part of that scene that would register scrolling, can you just create one game object (vertically scaled to the size of the hero list) covering that whole side of the screen to check for scrolling?
Could you please add an option to jump into another battle with the tanks in your garage right from a battle? It's annoying to have to go back to the garage every time if I don't have to do any management.
Decent WoT clone, but here's a thought: Make the key that takes you back to the garage (ESC) not the same key that takes you out of full screen (ESC), m'kay?
The hotkeys are a much needed addition, but the rotation speed is just too slow. Once you lose a color, the need to rotate three times takes too long. *MUCH* better would be to have *four* hotkeys to be able to spin the cube either way in *both* directions.
Suggestion: When looking at a particular module/etc., place in brackets beside each stat the difference between it and the currently installed one, with red for negatives/green for positives, so we can easily see which is better without, for example, having to switch back and forth between the market and garage screens.
For example, if I have the 'Light Shield' installed (150 points), and am looking at the 'Dual Shield' (500 points), the line should read like this: [Max Shield Points: 500 (+350)]
Bug Report: Sometimes the scroll wheel changes to very slow scrolling or stops altogether. Is there a value for 'distance per wheel tick' that could be getting changed?
Hi, thanks for the report, much appreciated. I'm checking through Kong comments as much as I can but in general it might be easier to throw reports/discussion to the subreddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/TapTapInfinity/).
As for the scrolling slowing down ... can you let us know what browser you're using and does it just get better by itself or are you having to refresh the page or restart your browser ? Thanks!
Thank you! Great idea. I'm try implement dynamic zoom if game performance allow.
