"What do you think will be the best way to get extra lifes?" Why not give extra lives when they buy the health upgrade at the store? Why not give them bull rides when they buy the bull ride upgrade at the store? I don't understand why it's so difficult to let people get better at the game as they spend money in the store. This game could be amazing with some tweaks to upgrades. The upgrades are very insignificant. The options are unlimited... allow me to ride a bull at the start, give me extra lives, let the helm actually do something, let me buy shoes that let me jump higher or run faster, it's not like those losers we run past and jump on are your family members, don't be so concerned about their feelings as our upgraded heroes bounce on their heads faster and farther! I have never played an upgrade game that seems the same after 15 minutes of play...
Thank you for such a detailed answer. When we were making the game, pretty much we relied on our feelings and expectations. We have set a certain rules and RPG-systems that are all connected with the balance of the game. And of course we could’ve mistaken. You can buy a regular bull or an upgraded one if you’ll make an upgrade. And it’s your choice on the start of the game whether to use it or not. The same applies to extra lives: you get the slots and then decide how many extra lives you possibly may use and depending on that choose from 1 to 3 lives. It's freedom of choice. We totally agree that we should continue working on upgrades to make them better and we will that’s why your voice is so important to us. Thank you once again!
I am not sure why people are raving about this game... there is too much randomness and the computer cheats. On the slanted ice level, I challenge you to throw the computer over your head without jumping like he does to you every time...oh well, got the flawless victory, never coming back. BTW, the first badge should DEFINITELY be downgraded to easy. simple win = flawless in difficulty? I don't get it...
Well.... I thought Dightkuz was trolling me until I actually tried using nothing but bunnies... it is definitely easier that way but trivializes the game. Any strategy I might have used before decided whether to save my mana up for a new turtle or summoning additional bunnies is totally gone. Now this is just a mindless game of spamming the "2" button... thx. :P
@krielis: When you own property, you get energy restore in between games. In addition, you will end up spending a large percentage of your stars when you renegotiate a better contract on energy drinks so you can improve your skills and your reputations and still start the game with full energy.
Having trouble with the spells being bugged... Casting shock on a Flaming Skull worked the first time in a battle, but every time after, the damage numbers are displayed but the enemy's hit points remain unchanged. Please fix this, as hitting for 3 damage with my club is silliness when I can nuke for 50 if spells aren't glitching.
Dev discussion about Alien Msn 14: "Hey, you know that Frozen Death is totally not worth the upgrade price? I mean, the basic rocket launcher is better because the damage is so pathetic." "Yeah, actually, lets make a level where they HAVE to use it to make it more difficult." "Uh, ok, so all of the alien team will start with Frozen Death?" "No, just the player, have the NPC have a short range grenade launcher... we wouldn't want them killing any of the NPCs to help out the player." "Oh, well how about we give one of the NPCs on the human team a rocket launcher?" "Yeah, and give the other NPC the katana ability, and make sure you change the AI so the aliens with the grenade launchers get in melee range..."
If your game is lagging, just refresh your browser and it should be good for a bit. That is a problem with flash, not the game (if it runs fine at first and gets more and more laggy as time goes by...).
For Alien Campaign mission 12, make sure you get the armors that spawn at the top of the jumps before the NPCs do. Constantly cycle around the map and pick up the specials; I was doing fine myself, but my two alien buddies were majorly sucking (3 kills, 14 deaths) ever time I tried it, when I figured out to not let the humans get the armor specials, they came through with 6 kills each, which was enough to win 25 to 24. I don't even want to know how many times I retried that mission...
Has the developer even played his game? You can't even go back and grind levels on the easy levels to level up and gain more challenges... I agree with everyone that has posted about how ineffective AA is. Even the air strike barely dents the UFOs on level 8; there are no other options but to keep trying it or go play another game, and I'm about to go play another game even though I've enjoyed this game so far.
Great game! If you have all your upgrades and you didn't make it to the helicopter, don't give up, try something different. Your boost is precious, if you can fire it at the top of a large hill and bypass big zombies and stacked crates, that is the most efficient use. Do a wheelie off a rock to hit the zombie's upper half and not slow down. Try to bounce as much as possible by goosing the gas at the top of each hill. Good luck!
I really enjoyed this game, but it did bother me that your character never got more powerful. A level 10 hero should hit for more than a level 1 hero! Even if you just increased the hit points of the enemies and did a linear increase in the damage of the hero, there would be that meaningless sense of achievement. That's part of the fun of RPGs... "BAM, my hero just critted that monster for 1000 damage and when I started I only did 10 damage, woo hoo!"
Wow, okay... I feel like an idiot. If you have an NPC following you around that doesn't disappear when you change zones... THAT is your daughter. The second game I played, I guess I found her but didn't notice the text that said "You found your daughter". At least I noticed the third time I played. :) The ferry is all the way to the left of the starting zone by the way.
