Difficulty level's a bit uneven. Instead of a steadily increasing difficulty, some levels are difficult to the point of inducing rage, and then you can breeze right through the next level on the first try. Also, for a game that relies so much on not actually being able to directly move the ball, the physics feel slightly off (or maybe the ball just needs to be a bit heavier).
Cuter version of cut the rope/civiballs. And with horrendous controls. From the first rope cut you can feel how touchy the controls are going to be for the entire game. It just kind of ruins the whole experience and discourages you from playing for more than a few levels.
I feel like this is more entertaining than it is fun, if that makes any sense. Also, the bombs are pretty weak. They're really only effective for scaring the puppets towards other things.
Would be great except for a few (but probably fixable) points.
First, as others have already pointed out, no permanent upgrades! This is horrible.
Second, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to how upgrade points are awarded. Sometimes you get them after a wave, sometimes you don't.
Third, the structure of the upgrade system is kind of crappy. Some upgrades are worthless (e.g., armor reduction) and some can't be purchased until after you really need them.
Finally, the underground sections where vehicles can hide are kind of annoying (i.e., not fun).
As a small suggestion, how about a hotkey toggle autofire for the cannon?
Fun and relaxing puzzle game. A bit more detail in the tutorial would be helpful, though. I had to play for a while before the actual objectives/rules were clear and the game started to make sense. Other than that, the gameplay was smooth and enjoyable - good work!
I like everything about this game except for having to place a ship every few seconds. Auto-deploy function would be nice...or even maybe a key that randomly places the ship so you don't have to keep moving the mouse away from incoming enemies when you place ships...
Reminds me of Torchlight a bit. Like somebody else said, WASD control would be nice. Also, IMO what keeps this game from being truly awesome is the limited view, having to physically pick up all dropped money, and having very limited options for tower placement. Finally, I don't think it's very clear what your towers will eventually upgrade to or what the effects of those upgrades will be. Aside from all of this, I think this is a really nice-looking and smooth TD game. 4/5.
Pretty awesome. The one thing that keeps this from being really amazing for me is having to keep switching between the keyboard and the mouse. If there was a way to manipulate the screen with the keyboard then it would be less tiresome trying to find the right view. Otherwise, great game!
Definitely agree that upgrades could come a bit more frequently. Feel outgunned starting at around 2-2. Controls are good, though, and I really like the simple graphics.
Enjoyable. Can you incorporate a key-advance to next level, though? This way you don't have to mouse-click each next level after using the keyboard to control the game. Minor, I know, but it's a pet peeve of mine.
