I don't know what's worse. All the comments saying that this game has a great story line, boss fights, etc., or the people that don't realize that they're just messing around. >.>
You know what this game needs? An AUTO button for battle. Like they had in Final Fantasy IV. It would just do the same action you did last over and over until the battle ends, and you can turn it off at any time.
Also, the bow animation during battle is a little messed up. The arrow is already moving towards its target as the bow is raised. Not very important, but again, it warrants mentioning.
Several things would greatly improve this game:
1) Have an option to turn off the combat animation. This would be for both dungeons and defense missions.
2) Have the equipment in the shop improve as you progress. It's really pointless to have basic weapons and armor in the store when you've almost finished the game.
3) Even though they have different volume bars, whenever I mute the music, the sfx go with it. Might just be me, but I think it warrants mentioning.
4) Being able to cast spells outside of battle would be a big help. Say you didn't use magic much at first, but don't have room to carry around potions later on. Therefore, you're wasting a turn to heal just enough so that it nullifies the next hit. Not very efficient, since you could be using that turn to defeat the enemy.
I'm sure there are a few others, but this is all I can think of. I'll post more as I come across them. Other than that, this is a really great game and I look forward to the next one.
Truly a beautiful game. Normally, I'm not too big on the amount of dialogue greatly exceeding actual gameplay, but this was an exception. I really liked the plot. The character personalities were well thought out, as well. The music was beautiful, also. I look forward to seeing more games from you. 5/5
When going around between the barracks and house and so on, it seems a bit buggy. For example, I've closed out the equip menu inthe barracks before to find myself mysteriously in my house, yet I still had the command bar for the barracks on the left.
It'd be nice if you could hover the mouse over a status effect and it would actually tell you what it was. Because by the time I'm able to check the library, I always forget.
This is a really nice game so far. But there's just one problem. It could jsut be my laptop, but I have serious issue with keys sticking while exploring a location. A lot of the time, it's a key I didn't even press.
An excellent concept. The music was nice and relaxing, and the gameplay was highly enjoyable. Yet another exceptional game from nerdook! I loved it. Can't wait for badges.
