Hmm, I thought about it bouncing off the ship, but it was really hard to get it to bounce at the right angle, zwingo's good, but the game is more similar to xwung. Thanks for the comments.
Unfotrunately i couldnt think of. A better control scheme, the standard "up to thrust" is too hard to control. I will have mouse control in V2, but i am not sure if that will be any better.
The ball does not move however it wants, it is very controlled. It always tries to move to you, but it will bounce off stuff. I can control it, so Don't try telling me it's not controlled. And about the arrows, there is no alternative, it looks stupid if he turns any faster, I tested, I'll try clarifying the instructions.
Left and right move left and right, up and down move up and down. The ship rotates, because it would look stupid if it randomly teleported from left to up. Try holding left. you'll figure it out.
Ok, the kongregate API is working. That means, if you click on the scores button above the game, there's an option to get the scores only of other kongregate people.
Hmm, I don't know, maybe it was stolen, no clue, but if it wasn't, here's my opinion, the game is programmed great, and the graphics are fun, but it's just not that fun, there isn't much of a point (no scores), and it feels very touchy.
This is fun, I love it, unfortunately, your icon is going to keep you from getting lots of views. You have to put a bit more work into making an icon that attracts users, the games fun for the people that play it though.
It's a decent first game in the sense that it's a challenging game style to program (or atleast, it's time consuming), but it's not very fun, the level's are impossibly cryptic. Mouseovers would be good, and graphics are needed for this style, if you're not good at graphics, maybe you should try something less graphics intensive, like a top down shooter.
Hmm... First off, not bad for a first game. Second, instead of blocks dropped off, make a count down of lives, makes it more obvious when I will die.
Third, This needs high scores, a game like this cannot survive without high scores
4th, You need more than one type of block, how bout big fast blocks, small slow blocks, stuff like that, adds variety.
