3/5 for now, if you add an online high score table (possibly using the kongregate API, it works very well) i'll give it 4/5. The ship is a little too large, making it hard to dodge bullets, so that maybe should be made a tad smaller (or atleast thinner).

This is really good! I'll give it 4/5, the movement is good and the enemies evolution is interesting. 5/5 and favourite if you get an online scoreboard (possibly using kongregate API)

Ok, what i'm writing is going to seem mean, but it's intended as advice. Before I mention anything, I want to say that I think the game is a good game for a begginer, and for a thirteen year old to create a flash game is impressive as is. The rest of this is meant constructively and not as an insult: Graphics: No insult meant, but the graphics aren't very detailed or interesting. Gameplay: The gameplay is interesting, the movement is great, the problem is that there is no danger/challenge in this one. Avoiding the wall is pathetically easy. Also, there doesn't seem to be a goal. You keep grabbing stuff, but there isn't a score. I would advise the creation of a dager (your second one does a better job of this) and a points system. Also, you may want to include the kongregate stats API to make the points interesting. If you need hep with any code or anything, just send me a whisper.

Graphics:4/5, the sprites were great, but the background was slightl drab Sounds: 3/5 the music was good, but a mute button would be nice Gameplay: 4/5 The ammo system is unusual in this type of game, and added alot tot he game. The one problem I had with gameplay, is that the 3 life limit is a bit steep, maybe consider 5 lives? Also, a score system with kongregate integration would be nice.

I agree that the game needs work. I'm already planning the sequel (programming should start on monday). I released this at this early point to accumulate feedback, and just to be able to get the D beside my name on kongregate. What do you mean by speed up? Everything in the game speeding up gradually? That would be interesting, and I might experiment with it in the sequel, but if the game sped up too much it would become a game of reflexes instead of a game of planning. While right now it is some mix of reflexes and planning. And congratulations brinkman.

Similar to ragdoll laser dodge, but you aren't a ragdoll, and therefore have more control over your movement. The extra control over your movement makes the game more based on finding yur route through the lazers then controlling your character.

The one thing I like about having the thick green lazers is that they make the area you can dodge too much smaller. I may consider making another type of lazers that is slow and thing in the next version. Since this was my first game, I wanted to just get it out with some simple features and stuff, I plan on editing the game and releasing it as Space Laser Dodge 2. This version will have more lasers, and alot more features (not to mention improved graphics.)

Nice score. What do you mean by deformed? If you are reffering to how they are different widths, that was intentional and was done to add visual interest and change the gameplay up a bit since the wider ones take up more room and therefore are harder to dodge .

Ok, I've experimented with the collision detection, the problem you are experiencing is that I had to use a collision box instead of precise pixel for pixel collisions. Simple reason for that, I don't know how to use pixel for pixel collisions yet, as I said, I'm new to this.

Thank you for the comments (and the 5/5, thats pretty good for a first flash game I think). I thought about adding a splash screen. But i've been expereriencing problems with buttons not registering presses properly(which explains clicking R to restart instead of a button). I'll have to experiment a bit with the collisions. The escalating difficulty was actually pathetically simple, but it does the job, I just wish there was more of a curve to it.
