There are two achievements I never intend to get: Treasure Grinder and Realm Clicker. 100 000 clicks in a single game is a massive grind in itself, which would take me about 100 days to get. As for the money, I can't work out how long it would take because of changes to money per click while I've been clicking, but it would take almost as long.
This was a truly enjoyable game. The art was remarkable for a game style which would normally be focused so heavily upon the concept. The gameplay, while a simple concept, was complex enough to require thought before action was taken, which is excellent a game based around philosophy. I found the writing highly engaging. I often play games to keep my hands busy while my mind is idle, making progress without really absorbing what's going on, but with this game I found that I was actually striving to make progress to see how everything developed. In addition to that, the meaning behind the writing, or rather within the writing, since it is not hidden, but a significant part of it, can have a true impact, more so than many games which are released, whether by big companies or small groups, even individual people. I could go on for some time talking about the potential messages in the writing for this game, but I wouldn't want to spoil it for other players. Congratulations.
Okay, what is wrong with saying that empowering a sovereign to maintain social contracts goes against the idea that all people are selfish? Once somebody is given that power, what is there to prevent them from abusing them if there is no higher power to instill fear in the idea of breaking the contract placed upon them?
So apparently this game HATES Youtube. Seriously. If I have a video playing I apparently lose before it even loads one frame of the game. Pause the video though? Plays perfectly. What the hell.
I'm having to start wondering if I'm having moments of passing out or something, because sometimes I swear I click as the front edge of the ball touches the square, and suddenly it's on the far side.
I really hate the movement of the ingredients. If it was consistent, sure, it'd be fine. But moving randomly? Is it even random? Everything I've seen indicates the ingredients will gradually move away from the centre, making precision near impossible.
Okay, so this DOES idle when you're off the window. It doesn't look like it, but it's only pausing the image. I paused for a bit, came back, and when I clicked on the screen the number of kids went up by a couple hundred.
Just worked a bit into Amenhotep after ascending to see if he would talk about me making Abaddon too powerful if I hadn't even bought one level of Abaddon. He does. Man, he's the real danger, wanting to restart the world for no reason, babbling about it being my fault because I made some guy I never even hired too powerful. XP
After activating "New Game +" the prices for bosses all displayed as they were in my previous iteration (The first skeleton boss showed as costing 5B). They don't actually have those costs, though, and the buttons still turn green when I have enough money. It does seem like the price keeps increasing from the faulty numbers, though (The fourth skeleton boss is being listed as costing 15,6250,000B)
The game is really quite good, with many positive aspects, but there are some negatives. The biggest issue is that it feels like you have no way to avoid being hit at least once in most rooms, as the enemies are simply so numerous and wide spread that they are often times impossible to avoid when entering a room. If you were to tone down the number of enemies that spawn, but increase their health, speed, or damage, then it would help to ease that problem.
Hard mode is REALLY annoying for me. It may just be my keyboard, but tapping a key will move me a random distance, between one and four tiles. Managed to get to the last level, have yet to see if I can muster the time and willpower to beat the odds.
Bit of an issue: Playing on level 14, (The one labelled 14, not the officially 14th level), looking for the key, and I reached the exit by mistake. Hit the R key to restart and both characters spawned in the upper left corner of the screen. I've retried, gone back to he level select screen, gone back to the menu, hit the restart button, but they keep spawning there and getting stuck, even on the level select screen.
I'll try to reproduce that bug, thanks very much for letting us know!
