Simple change that would benefit the smoothness of the playing experience a lot - make healing numbers in green and damaging numbers in red. This would make it easier to tell whether you actually got damaged or healed with an ability.
If you're having trouble finishing the last cargo mission, basically as long as you get the refuelling modification (fuel for your boosters) and the good radar you should be set. Just make sure you don't run out of booster fuel and pick up as many fuel tins along the way as you can. It would probably also help to get the ship parts that reduce weight (get a weak nose because you don't need nose power) as they will make it faster.
There is just one complaint from me, and I don't think I've said this about any game here on Kongregate... but there is just too many units! Many of the towers have repeating elements and it frustrates the hell out of me - I basically ended up with one of every unit because I wanted to see what everything did. I think this is a fantastic game but could of been a lot simpler and user friendly (and in turn, all together more enjoyable).
Potential, really liked it. Likes: upgrade system, johny's run animation, concept and coin system. Dislikes: death slo mo of bad guys, boss was boring/easy (though it fitted the shortness of the game). Gonna be critical and give it a 4/5
As good as this game was... it turned into a real grind - I ran through the whole game with a rocket launcher. I think the rage system was really good, but yeah it just got so tedious :| 4/5.
Just some quick tips for playing efficiency;
- Spend the majority of your stars on energy drinks early on (if you want to train your skills) before you level up, as they fluctuate a fair bit. - When you shoot from medium distance put a bit of bounce on it as the keeper dives low to the ground and you sometimes bounce the ball right over him. - Take higher contracts when you can, more stars = house sooner. - Don't make the boss too angry or he will bench you which upsets your fans. - Finally, try to get assists when you can because they make your team happy but don't be afraid to be greedy when your teammate has a defender right behind them! (especially when you get paid well for your goals)(you can score goals from 30m+ with some good aim)
Loving this game! At first I was confused... but I went back and played the first one and it made a lot more sense. Helpful Hint: There are Upgrades (I only just saw that there is a little upgrade button at the bottom of the screen on my 2nd last mission haha...) 5/5
