I do like the simplicity of this game. I hate having to learn arbitrary rules that don't enhance game play. Such as, "Ok, how much damage does a fighter do? How many hits per second does a ninja do? Where's my calculator?" or "Do I use Ice or Fire against skeletons? Arg!" "Should I upgrade hit points or defence? What's the difference!?"
I like that we're given a base party with generic characters, we don't have to guess how many healers we should have per fighter, etc. I like that the equipments are simple to understand too. Kudos!
"Come with me, young fighter. I've climbed this tower many times. I can keep you safe in battle. I've accompanied many strong fighters into this tower."
"Where are they now?"
"..."
ADAPTIVE PRODUCTION is the one feature I asked for out of idle blacksmith. Nice feature! It's under the GEAR icon. Tell your blacksmith what to produce, HE SENDS THE MEMO TO THE SMELTER AND MINER!
Takes the busywork out of this idle game!
I just figured it out. Swords DO stack. So go ahead and make multiple copies of the same one. For all we know, the hero recruits a new soldier with each sword.
Can you indicate on the hero screen what sword he has? I don't know if he still has it, if they wear out and need to be replaced, or what. Should I send my blacksmith home, or have him stock up an inventory of the same sword?
This must be what it's like to work as a minion for the Mastermind. I'm looking forward to the end. Does she throw me in the shark tank? Pay me for my service? Admit that she likes me? Do I turn the tables on her and seize power and get to hear her yell, "Untie me this instant, you idiot!"
I think the concern over "balance" is overstated. Spend your savings on the most precious resource, in this case, the mine. Spend your spare change on the other resources. What's the big deal?
There IS a hotkey for each survivor during the mission. 1, 2, 3, etc.
ALSO, press R to force the survivor to reload his weapon. Useful for when he has few bullets left and no zombies are near him.
I wanted to keep it EXTRA old school.
