I think having to protect the humans by running in front of bullets is a nice touch. There are so many games where you're just looking out for your own survival, and it's an interesting change.
It'd be nice to have something that showed what sort of item (reagent, treasure etc) something was, for the less obvious categories (how do you tell a jewel from a treasure?). Also, an option to remove the confetti from the opening screen so it doesn't lag so much would be great. Otherwise, it's a neat and pretty fun game.
It's an interesting blend of genres, and a pretty good tool for wasting away a while, but there's something I wonder -- how is Mobilization caused? It's just pretty weird to suddenly have the entire board disappear, and you're not sure how to get that working again.
Did the math -- unless I'm wrong, cash gained for stars seems to be directly proportional to how many stars you get, at five dollars a star, no matter how many crane bonuses you had when you grabbed them. If so, what's the purpose of getting them? If I'm wrong, just say.
Beautiful, fantastic, wonderful. My only advice is to new players -- don't make up little stories about your planets, because they're going to smack into each other eventually.
This is just fantastic. The music, the graphics, the delightfully offbeat dialogue...it comes together to make this huge, polite Frankenstein mutant of a game. A formidable thing, that is.
I love that the bullets recoil. It gives me the mental image of one desperate turreteer keeping asteroids off of Mars while the bullets have torn up the planet.
