Interesting thing I noticed. If you want to bump up some EXP of your favorite spell, while the screen is scrolling after a win, you've got time for a few extra quick casts.
I enjoyed it. Normally I go for Normal difficulty no matter the game I play, and Normal difficulty FELT like Normal difficulty. It wasn't impossible, but it was still a fair challenge. I enjoyed it. Here's hoping we get some badges soon!
My only issue with this game is that the weapons are by and large completely useless. If Acid had more range, I'd be more apt to use it, but I have to get in someone's face to hit someone, which sucks.
I love old-school Choose Your Own Adventure games, but I found that there weren't enough paths here. Essentially, it all boils down to two paths. One of them is the wrong one (and you inevitably die there no matter what), and the other is the correct one, where you inevitably live no matter what.
Only thing I can think of that would make this game even better is a better explanation of each unit's perks, and a cross-reference for stats when considering upgrading. Otherwise, top-notch game.
A definite improvement over some recent games of the same type. I agree with others that upgrades and some kind of choice over aggression/evasion would be great. 4/5
Most of the castles are frustrating or boring. Many of the beginner castles were interesting, but I was hard-pressed to find a fun castle later in the game, due to the fact that many of them require you to be EXTREMELY precise to beat the castle. I appreciate that this is a clear upgrade from the original Crush the Castle, but you clearly missed any kind of criticism from fans of the last game. 3/5
One thing I can't stand about some of these games is the fact that some things are locked and reserved only for other websites. Did you get a bad batch of crack from the money you won for Infectonator?
Not a bad game at all. There's just a few bugs that need to be worked out. For example, a lot of the time, a single, random unit will become un-selected. Not to mention, getting a large amount of units to focus on one target means they wander around and by that point the battle's over. Overall, not too bad, but could definitely have been better. 4/5
