Well, now I finally have the hard badge, I feel I've learned a lot from this experience. Not so much about gameplay or having fun. More about sheer bloody mindedness and mashing a replay button until my eyes bleed.
Only advice I can give to people still trying is: the Epic from the lightning core power was a godsend. Though it lagged my PC out something horrible, and my rig is pretty good (no other problems). Also the rocket epic of course for those bosses.
Good luck and godspeed to those still trying for the hard badge. You poor b***ards ;)
Guys, we're slipping here!
Idle has dropped from the number one rated tag for this game. To show your irritation at the 'start level and leave keyboard' mechanic please click the blue "+ ADD TAGS" button (left hand side just under the game window) and vote up idle. This will at least let the developers know what we think of their game model.
Good going. Idle is now this games top tag. (I think it probably describes the developers approach to decent gameplay as well.)
The really funny thing is that if you were looking for idle games you'd have trouble finding this. It's rated so low that stuff like 'Idle Mine' (A great game) appears way before it on the lists.
Haha, nice work. Keep voting up that 'idle' tag. (click on the blue '+ ADD TAGS' button on the left just under the game window. At least we can show them what we think of their game model.
I notice under 'Add Tags' that the 6th most voted Tag for this game is 'Idle'. No surprise there. And given that two of the tags are 'bloons' and 'monkey'...
If we're wanting to show what kind of a game this is, we'd only need to vote up Idle a few more times and people would know at a glance what they were getting themselves in for.
pro tip. On Google chrome at least, don't use tabs. Open the game in a new window, turn off the sound, and it'll keep running while you're surfing the interwebs. Just pop back whenever you like to restart the level you're grinding. Easy.
Was well on track for five stars until I started the last level on hard. Clearly has not been thought out. It's not a challenge, just a trial and error slog. 1/5
2000 power at lvl 39. Had to do a lot of stuff to get there, tried out all the game features that were available up to that point. (Had to keep it varied to keep from losing my mind.) But now I'm there I can honestly say I'm never going to boot up this turd pile again. And I've never been so happy. Good luck to all those still trying it, and god speed.
Don't get me wrong, I have slogged my way through a LOT of energy based games just to pick up the badges at the end of it. But this one is truly the worst of them. Best way to play is in a separate window while doing something else, just pop back every couple of minutes to start up a new fight. Lose less brain cells that way.
Starting up for the first time and: I love how the teeth get knocked out as the game loads, rather than filling up. It's the little lols that get me :D
Area 2 complete. Mouse, Rabbit, Bear and Hare join me for the cut scene. Awwww... What Kind Of A Crappy Army Do You Think I'm Running Here! Where are Rhino and Penguin. And Turtle. Cool picture though.
Clash of Dragons good. Nice system, can come back every few hours or whatever, going beyond badge level.
Dawn of Dragons poor. Card game >>> Button click. Large energy reserve >>> small. Play every few hours >>> sit around waiting.
Fortunately Clash of Dragons will probably remind me to come back here until I reach 30. But you should go play Clash instead of this Dawn nonsense.
