I only have 3 issues thus far: 1) It's too random. Some games I get a decent number of "level ups" after clearing a room. Others I can go two levels and not see one. One game the boss mobs give me decent drops. Another game they don't drop anything at all. It's too unpredictable given the "do it over when you die" format. 2) The mobs in rooms you already clear need to drop bigger potions. You know I'm just going to go back and forth between clears and farm pots before moving on anyways. Why waste my time? 3) If the map could somehow indicate where the doors are in rooms you've been in that would be a nice addition when you're trying to completely clear a level.
The game seems to be more about overcoming the frustrating paw mechanic than solving the puzzles themselves. Just use the mouse to manipulate the objects and it would be better. Probably too easy, but better.
Tip: The object is probably moving faster than you think. If you make a sketch but can't recognize it then stretch it vertically. Great game. Very interesting concept.
Instead of replacing items when you buy a new one it would be nice if the item was consumed. This would use an elixir when buying a Divine Edge or a gold ticket instead of just throwing it away. I often ride my HP pretty low trying to stretch as long as I can between elixir and armor stores, using my elixirs only when I absolutely need them. If a voucher store pops up I have to pass because I can't go into the next fight with critical HP. I'm holding an elixir so drink it when I buy something else, don't just toss it.
Could you make the speed switch button accessible directly instead of in the menu? I find that I switch speeds all the time and going to the menu can be tedious. If there was just a single speed toggle button in the top corner that would be sweet.
One comment: lose the skull knights battle cry. My boys love the Epic War series, and it's terrific that you've added a blood switch in recent installments so it's more appropriate for a younger audience. (These are very fun games even for younger players.) However, I don't look forward to the day they tell their mother to "go to hell" because they've been playing the skull knight hero. That's not going to be good for anybody.
It really needs a "select all my troops" shortcut so you can easily add new recruits to your main force instead of having to cruise back through the map grabbing them as they path to the rally point. It would also be really nice to be able to select a unit type so, for example, you can fall back and then hit one button to select all of your soldiers and send them back to the front of the pack so they can spearhead the next attack.
Thanks for the suggestion.
As for the second problem (selecting only some units) this might help: you can double-click on a unit and it will select all units of the same type (for example, all soldiers) currently on screen.
Apparently I really suck because I can't get far on this game at all. Once I get to about 10% and am working on the door I pretty much spend the entire time fighting and no time working on the truck. Waves are coming in before I finish the last. I am what you call one screwed motorist. ><
Very repetitive, but still fun. The game over screen is annoyingly long. It's also frustrating that you're stuck with what you've selected. There's no way to build up funds on failed attempts to improve. You just have to keep trying over and over so if you've mis-invested yourself you're kinda hosed. It would also be nice if the repair kits scaled so that they actually helped in the later levels when your HP gets up there.
Fun game but the control scheme is flakey. Got all the way to lvl 20 and failed repeatedly because the "flip" wouldn't take or would double-take. I suspect it was a lag type thing with all the stuff on the screen but it seriously cost me 10 or more days just because my monster wouldn't turn around when I told him to.
