What I love about this game is its conciseness, in a way. It is, unabashedly, a single chapter in the life of a mysterious protagonist whose allure is her strangely confident sense of self juxtaposed against her lack of a true identity. Add to that good music and great artwork (and taking away just a little bit for grammar...) and you've got a great story.
Though the writing is superb and the game design is inspired and well-executed, I think I have to give special mention to the composer of the score. From the tension of the main music to the sadness evoked by the strings to the feeling of heroism and newfound resolve by the time we get to the final timeline, the score really highlights the emotion throughout the piece and underscores the impact of the game. So kudos to all the developers but a particular kudos to Jesse Valentine!
This was a really well-designed game and has great replayability factor! I do think there were some balance issues among the different tribes (notably, poison water was a bit easy to abuse and chaos desert was somewhat overpowered), but it was fun learning to exploit each tribe's strengths as well.
If you were to pursue a sequel, I would suggest getting a copy-editor to work out the grammatical kinks, however. While they don't affect gameplay, excessive misspellings and the like do become distracting eventually.
Still, really good game!
