you KNOW that whoever programmed a game is incompetent when they have to include a message before the preloader stating that the preloader regularly glitches out.
most of the weird errors in this game look exactly like mmo lag errors: it's acting like it's reporting in before and after running the respawn timer, for the shop, for hero generation, for bot generation, basically like the game is being ran off of a server and suffering for it at every single step.
ugh...the hard badge is a matter of trying a few dozen runs before the first 2 runs get lucky and give you 20 to 30 times the money to work with. And no, ~2500% is not an exageration: my worst day 1 is 47 cents while my best is 124 dollars.
would be nice to have an UNmake gun option: several of the weapons are pretty much useless and adding them to the drop pool is a clear loss, not gain...though going by the AI weapons many of those guns appear to get their problem stat taken care of as a custom model.
since we can all agree that this game is a steaming pile of coding errors and questionable design decisions I'll just say this: the "junk" comic book is action comics issue 1. That thing could be dog-eared, covered in various stains, and defaced with moustaches drawn on all available faces and it would STILL be worth a couple grand, why?, because it's the first showing of Superman (I honestly hate binary characters like superman but it still bugs me).
...it's kinda funny that you can solve every level with a catapult, even the wraparounds and vertical chute, you can also solve every level in a way that leaves the object in the goal zone...not entirely sure that you can do that with a catapult in every level though
I've won several games on max difficulty with no deaths in decent time and yet somehow the greatest feeling of achievement I've had was the first time I replaced a church with a school...I met precious few religious people that could really be called People (let alone good ones) before getting out of high school and it's left a lot of rather nasty prejudices I can't seem to get through...
do have to say that this is one game where you really ought to have a re-spec option, and unlike most it would actually make a lot of sense to be able to do something like that.
still can't understand how so many of these RPGs never got badges...if nothing else it would bait pointhunters into maby playing a couple great games like this one.
funny that most of the complaints are about stuff you only run into if you're pretty much failing entirely at tactics...not that there isn't a lot to complain about here, nerdook usually does a better job than this.
unique talent recruitments REALLY ought not to have so limited a time: if they pop up during a current recruitment you can do nothing but wait and still miss them...frankly having recruitment pause while out questing is rather silly too but I think that's purely a game mechanics decision made for some odd reasons.
the daily boss drops gold when you kill it (about 80% drop rate), they even have the major items set at low prices and the items that are pretty much just there for showing off set as the spendy ones, the devs did pretty well on setting up the gold part...it's things like the various glitches and above all the horrible mining system for the genuinely necessary elite tier items that caused the game to die out, there would probably be 120~ish players here at any given time if they had made 1 simple change to the mining system, 200+ if they put in a way to see what dungeons have people in them from the world map.
I finally figured out why taking actions 1 at a time is more damage than entering all the commands in a rush: the bonus damage for the combo count has a delay before it is applied so stacking it all up makes it miss a LOT of the combo bonus rather than focusing it on the higher damage hits at the end of most attacks like you would think.
I really do wonder what that memory leak is...most of them are usually animations or sound effects that keep repeating indefinitely in the background but this one seems to trigger at random and jump from the normal ~60k used to maxing out your ram in under 30 seconds; it's more like the entire GAME starts leaking on a semi-random trigger than small parts of it building up over time...
...this game could really use AOE attacks: even something that does peashooter damage would save you from making empty turns constantly on sonny and any AOE attacks the AI used would work a lot less inefectively as a team...your own side's AI seeming to try to screw you over at every turn is just about the only thing I dislike about this game.
