huh...the experience from the "after death experience" achievement is somehow given before you die and loose half your exp (was at 9 exp so I went to go do it, successfully died, gained 15300, now at 7654.)
huh...I honestly expected the bonus potion effect enchantment to effect permanent potions: they aren't a limited resource so it makes a lot of sense to let people gain 5 max health per defense quest rather than 3 for being clever about it.
I get less damage against a single target from a level 17 meteor gatling ("5091" dps) than from a level 11 plasma bomb ("403" dps), near as I can tell from comparing other weapons the plasma bomb is really about 700 (I think the aoe and initial hit are both full damage) and the asteroid is maby 400
just finally played a normal mode game and finished with no losses (normal is freakishly easy with that slight crystal income boost) and got neither the no losses or less than 5 losses achievement, I did however get the less than 10 losses achievement so I'm wondering if it only checks for one at a time.
I'm not sure why everyone is saying this is an odd concept: shooters where you have to focus far more on picking up your drops than shooting them and not getting shot are rather common...probably more common than not if you count the arcade games that started the tradition (IE: coin-collectors make FAR more effective coin-eaters).
I am getting rather tired of enemies that deal 1-3 or so according to the spyglass 1-shotting my characters for 25+ damage, it's gotten to the point where over 80% of my deaths are due to that specific (hopefully) glitch.
every single game in the protector series is a massive collection of genuinely good ideas/execution and blatant obvious mistakes...kinda like D&D or The Elder Scrolls
this game would work SO much better if you actually got collision on the edge and ends of your paddle instead of the hitbox cutting off just inside the visual.
this would be a halfway decent game if the droprates weren't set to pvp-focus freemium bad...not sure why they set them that low, simply putting them at moderately bad or good->bad sliding scale as you progress would get a lot more sales.
being forced to use skillpoints is...how to avoid using an automatically ignored word...ah! "Mechanically flawed": The skilltrees don't really interact much due to passives requiring a weapon type and you can't save skills, so it's either put it somewhere useless and have to respec, or save it. You can't save so you have to respec.
this is one of those games where you work your way through it all because there is always something to do, then spend awhile angry at yourself for wasting an hour or so on rather unpleasant annoying work when you wanted to play a game.
there has GOT to be a delete command in there somewhere...not on the commands list or any key on they keyboard but it's gotta be there, right? Great game but some decidably broken mechanics and controls
I am rather surprised that there isn't a 30 or 60 pointer speed completion badge...30: this game isn't good enough to deserve a 60 though it IS better than most defenders.
@diekiller lock weapon is a 0cost skill from the ultimate rank skills that locks the bonus weapon you have picked up, it's excelent alone and combined with infinite bonuses it's basically buying your end weapon
really need to reduce fail chances on stun and the like, it turns anything above normal mode into trying over and over until you're lucky rather than any kind of thinking game
this isn't a puzzle game, it's a try try and try the same thing again untill for once it works the way it's intended to...come to think of it trying the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results is the most common definition of insanity.
I absolutely HATE shading differences in these, the 2 sides are shaded differently to begin with so making a crack in the sidewalk slightly grayer isn't exactly "nice"...weird part is that I can't think of a reason for there to be the overall shading difference to begin with, and it's in EVERY "spot the differences" puzzle from kong to the sunday comics.
