"wtf, u can't get med badge before hard" Sure you can. Getting the last puzzle to unlock (and completing it to get the Medium badge) requires completing the adventure. Getting the Hard badge requires completing the adventure without losing a pig.
Weaken status (which the Unihound gets at Level 6 and the Redzilla doesn't get at all. Don't know about the other starting monster) is an absolute gamebreaker. The problem with the weaken status is that it's permanent AND stacks, but only on your opponent. It's temporary on you (and I don't think it's stackable, and even if it were, the opponent will rarely try to stack status attacks).
Excellent game, and the last few levels are fantastic. One request, though: if you could put down how many points were received per level, or even just how many Dibbles were saved, it would make score grinding way more palatable than it currently is, and would extend the game's playability.
OH I GET IT IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE IT INVOLVES MURDERING JUSTIN BIEBER
Still not a bad launch game, but picking on Justin Bieber is getting pretty tired, actually.
Not bad so far (certainly better than the first), but two things; first and foremost, movement is very jerky, and having to stand on top of an item to get it sometimes makes it a chore. Second, it says that I've unlocked the "Something in My Eye" quest, but it's not in my list of available quests.
@Smi2le: better yet, stand to his left when he's on the left and shooting lasers, and to his right when he's on the right and shooting lasers. One can rack up solid points that way.
Interesting that you can't actually completely max out the elephant. I beat Wooly 5 times to get enough credits to max out the credit tree, and after using up what ability points I had earned, I ended up with the following stats: AGL: 100/100/70; INT: 50/100/100; DEX: 100/85/100; and CHA: 100/100/80.
Chapter 2 should be made considerably harder than this. The biggest gamebreaker I see is range: I was able to split my team into groups of two each, and there were no problems because I was able to cast healing spells from 30 blocks away or more. As for attacks, they should get weaker when you shoot from farther away. Otherwise, a fun little diversion.
I think I've got an idea on what to do for the Hard badge. The following worked for me: 1) DO NOT be picky when it comes to selling opium, except early on when you only have one or even two ships. Generally speaking, if you can make a profit with a trade, do it, especially since by endgame, you'll have more ships than you need, unless you lose a few in dodgy trading. 2) If you lose the bribe around 1836 or 1837, you've done something wrong; you shouldn't have the bribe at that point in the first place. Take advantage of a (usually) great trade you could make in a risky port. 3) Try not to buy one commodity five times in quick succession, especially after the price for that commodity nose dives. You can make 4 deals for one, then one for the other, then go back. Also, slowing down once in a while will maintain that low price for a while. 4) There seems to be a cap in how high tea and opium prices get early on. Take advantage of that, especially regarding tea. Good luck!
While playing, I complained to my chat room that I had gone through about 5 lives without finding anyone who fits more than two of my ideal lover's traits... and then got the perfect guy at age 49 of the same game. I love it when that happens.
There's an issue re: time submission and badges. I was going for the White Rushin' badge, and I had 225 seconds on Chapter 2 (the only chapter for which I didn't have a sufficiently fast time). Then I brought that down to 175. At that point, I lost connection with the badge server (but this wasn't the issue). I played Chapter 2 again, got a 180, and it didn't take; it seems to me that it only reports to the API when you get a new best score. Next run: 157 and the badge, but it should report to the API no matter what, in my opinion.
There's a weird/minor bug: if you go to a song for which you have a Crazy score, then scroll to an Ex chart song for which you don't, the rating (not the percentage) sticks to the song to which you've just scrolled.
For those with problems with Level 19 (and for me, it was a pain, but I just got it), here are a few hints: 1) You can only take a direct path with the color which has the center square on the top face. 2) After that, try the color which has the center square on the right face. Do not take a direct path. 3) Go from there, and good luck.
It's excellent for what it is: a little taster for the real thing. I'll be playing Chapter 2 eagerly. Also, for anyone reading, don't forget: Boost and Dbl Attack stack. Great for boss killing.
An addendum to my previous comment: in actual battle, it still shows the other character's weapons (and the display changes when clicking on other characters, actually), but when I select them, it's the weapons my ranged character had previously.
