Oh... God... This music... This music still haunts me from the time I finished the previous game, after hours upon hours upon HOURS of hearing it, over and over and over, while I kept dying on the same level... I feel this sequel will lead to many cries of despair on my part. But I accept this challenge - no, this quest. I will take up my sword and go defeat the evil threatening the land, for it is my task. ONWARDS, MY FRIENDS. FOR GLORY AND LOOT (I'm only just starting out, I will get back to you once I have explored this game a little, but considering how I loved the previous game, you can probably expect a 5/5).
You should warn players that the big-ass horns on the viking hat will render the duck unable to hide in a cave in the second stage of the climbing training. Or just fix that. :P
Still way, way too much trial and error. The physics are too random ; it is impossible to predict this single pixel that will make the difference between victory and defeat, even when you know what you have to do to finish a level, and it can take a dozen tries to success, just moving you block a tiny bit each time until it works. This kind of game should reward the player for finding the solution, not crossing one's fingers hoping that this time all will go as expected.
Fun game but really too easy. The 2x abilities felt like overkill because of that. You don't even need to keep the party together, the characters do fine on their own (though it's mainly due to the fact that there's no range limit to the priestess' heal). If you're afraid of making your game too difficult, well, just put several difficulty levels in there ; nobody can complain that they're getting thrashed if they decided to play the game at the highest difficulty level ^^
Also, found a little bug : the hotkey for "Smite" doesn't work. It acts as though the priestess had just used an ability but does nothing, essentially wasting an action (of course you can still act once with ability 2x). Also, each time I did it, it triggered the cooldown of Taunt on the knight O_o Though it didn't trigger Taunt itself, I think... Am I the only one who had this problem ?
4/5 !
This game is insane. I hit the turtles with my hammer, then saw that it was gonna be a looong combo, so rather than waiting for it to finish, I left to eat. I came back some 20 minutes later and find that it's still going, with something like 580.000 hits. As of this comment, it has just stopped at 602.748, earning me 12 million...
I won't spend it and launch a new combo, for fear it would end up dividing by zero O_o
Brickstax > Yeah, it's not like it was written in the description that you can mute the thing with a right-click ! (which I would never do, considering the awesomeness of the music fits the fun gameplay perfectly, but that's a matter of opinion.)
Why do only the girls cry ? That's odd... It's only a little detail, yet it bugs me infinitely. Aside from that, yes, it's a little cliché, feels a bit like it's going solely for the "angsty and artsy" points. The atmosphere is good but lacks in originality, which is extremely harmful to a game like this. 2/5.
Hmm, now I cannot play the game at all. I had another glitch which made all the ships buggy (the game told me "You cannot leave with that ship"), so I refreshed the page, and now, everytime I try to play and select my sound preferences (when it asks you if you'd like it on or off), instead of bringing me to the menu screen, it automatically opens the "options" AND "About" screens. And the "back" button doesn't work, so I can't even try to play. Very weird, and even more frustrating.
Er, no, wait, that's weird, both the save file and the shop tell me I've got zero upgrades, but they magically reappeared when I started replaying the previous level... and now everything works fine. Nevermind my previous comment then, but still, that was weird :P
I like it, but I've stumbled upon a nasty glitch : I wanted to sell all my upgrades to see how much gold I lacked to buy the next ship. So I saved, sold everything, and upon reloading, I found that I had as much gold left as I had when I saved the game, but with none of the upgrades I had ; in other words, even after reloading, the game kept track of my upgrade status, which kinda sucked. Oh well, might as well start working on earning enough gold to buy them back. 4/5, but you might want to fix that... ^^
It's pretty simple to change your AZERTY to a QWERTY : just hit Alt + Shift. I have an AZERTY keyboard and it doesn't prevent me from playing all the games that use WASD :)
