what the hell is with race game makers penalizing the player with "hit x amount" minigames?! they make the hit boxes too small/smaller than the crap that's blocking my view of the road and then making it neigh impossible to hit everything since my engine has been upgraded? shit like this pisses me off
Jeebus! week 3 ghost hunt! INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE HIT BOX!! No matter what you do, it's still mostly a game of luck that penalizes the player for upgrading; but still, passing thru multiple targets is infuriating
Finally beat this game; strangely, the Skeleton, your third weapon, I found to be my prime weapon. While not ideal in some situations, it hits like a half brick with a grudge, the projectile sticks around, makes hitting destructible enemy shots easy to hit, and over all makes boss fights fairly easy (even the last one - just jump to dodge and when you get a chance jump on/over him, yeah, at that point take the -10hp hit to get in a better position). Not sure why a spiky ball thrower does so much more damage than a tri-beam laser gun or a launcher that shoots *all* the missiles, but hey, it works
There are only two reasons I'm even bothering to rate this game 1/5: 1) For the point towards my level 2) Because it deserves it, if you want the other 4 stars, send me $5 per extra star for a total of $20
gah, stuck on a ship with a depressive, mentally challenged AI ... and I'm probably naked. And it doesn't have any porn in its databanks (I asked XD what better way to pass your last hours?) asked if I could use th pod to alter the ships course: didn't understand; asked why it thought my chances were 3.7%: didn't understand; told it I had to pee: told me to not make a mess; asked it about the 3 laws of robotics: it admitted to lying; told it to 'Open the pod bay door, Hal!": said "I can't do that, though you probably knew I was going to say that"; asked to play thermonuclear war: it didn't understand (really? an Asimov AND a 2001 reference, but not a Wargames one? shame); wouldn't let me assess its kernal; wouldn't let me try and fix the ship. this AI is bent on murder suicide!
the damage and defense upgrades do not keep pace with the enemies in later levels; also, i only noticed a significance in upgrade in performance after buying every other upgrade - which meant that the last upgrade bought for $15k was not noticeable at all; lastly, good job on making the hardest hitting baddie also able to utterly bypass your shield - kuddos on that, made me regret buying the thing. 1/5 for making a monotonous suicide run instead of a fun game
went to that site the developer mentioned, the one about motion aftereffects. had to watch the whole example clip for it to become obvious, but damn, when it did I thought that girl from the ring was going to bust out of my screen and eat my soul
A very well done, well made game. 4/5 stars. my only complaint, given that I only have a layman's appreciation of art, is that I have not one clue as to how to value the stats in the character creation screen; Form vs Anatomy, Expression vs Color, etc. Do these lend themselves to the differing art styles? Also, how do I balance the qualities and flaws? What bonus do I get for picking musician and what negatives to I gain for picking alcoholic? Lastly, the character portrait doesn't seem to be working ... or even utilized in-game. Perhaps a mouse over tool tip for the stats and art styles in-game for the sequel (there better be one :P ) Oh, and as biglatinking said, a random name generator for paintings would be a sweet addition. Lastly, more of a story would push this game past 6/5 stars; I would literally drool over more interactions with Napoleon.
Promising game, but some bugs still need to be ironed out. The tutorial won't GTFO even after i set it to 'don't show' in the options (keeps popping back up every time i click a new planet or hit the "i" button on the task bar), my credits stay at zero though I know i have them as does my population(can still build) my taxation and pop growth are stuck at NaN. Using firefox and the most up to date adobe flash if that helps
am i the only one where the "Buy an upgrade at the shop" mission isn't registering? I started with it at the beginning and had it until it was the last one I *could* get. Annoying that you need that mission to be completed in order to unlock the last tier of upgrades
:-/ 1 billion clicks? at 1 click a sec, it would take you 11,574 days (or approx 31.7 years) to complete. At a respectable 10 clicks per sec, it would only take approx 3.17 years. Sorry, I don't have that kind of time to spend on this game
grr, the game keeps telling me to install unity; i just played CF 4 hrs ago, and I *just* check my comp against other unity games on Kong. Think your new awesomeness just left me out in the cold :-|
