Pretty good. Would really like a mute button. It would be kind of nice to have a limited-use knockout attack for guards just for those times when they just stand there looking at you while your invisibility runs out, but it's fine as it is.
Everything here is competently done...it's just not fun. The ship moves so slow, one bullet at a time is so limiting, and there's no variety in the enemies. There's no pause button. However, the coding seems good, everything works, and while the music doesn't loop very cleanly, I like it. Good first game, hope to see some more fully-fledged work from you.
The hit detection in the traffic jam level is really, really bad. You lose the level without even being close to the cars--one time when I made it to the end I got pushed through the platforms off the screen and couldn't come back, another time I got push through the platforms back onto the road and killed. I'm guessing Linkin Park didn't give you permission to use their music. And I don't care about spelling, but since you asked, I did see "aviod" in the instructions.
In the future, don't make text into a button like you have for the Play button. Make a rectangular shape the button, and put the text over it. Don't make the player click the actual letters.
Flying around for 5 minutes doing nothing but escort a plane following some sort of bizarre path around the ocean is boring. Losing sight of it and losing is annoying. Not being able to see further than 30 feet in front of the plane is a pain. In more constructive comments, you might consider not having speed decrease automatically--so you push W until you're going as fast as you want, and then you -stay- at that speed until you hit S to slow down.
This is good enough to stand head and shoulders over most of the terrible shooters, but it's not without its own issues. Personally I didn't like the background shifting with movement--it's unneccessary, can be disorientating, and isn't even realistic unless that ship is going really, really, fast. The levels are way too long--does the third level even end? I got bored and after a few hundred kills. However, it's a really good start. I liked the variety in enemies and the first two bosses. 3/5.
Eh. I appreciate the effort that went into it (I'm reminded of Ace Combat 04), but underneath it's just the same tired defend the castle with even less options than most. There's definitely good work here though.
I like. At first I thought the mouse was too sensitive, but then I adapted to it and just started making smaller motions. So please people, actually try to improve before you start complaining. My only gripe is lack of oxygen--even on a really good run (fast, few obstacles hit) I still run out long before the tunnel does.
Eh, I give him credit for including a mute and difficulty levels. The world may not need another snake clone, but it's a bit better than the hundreds of other versions just for that.
Pretty good, there's a few problems though. Clicking on bases seems irresponsive--there were a lot of times I'd try to send my units somewhere, see it didn't work, and re-do it, and end up sending my troops backwards. Instead of just counting down units that are send out, the number of units in a base should drop by the total number that are going to leave, and have a seperate progress bar or something showing you how many units are still moving out. Lastly, losing a base removes all towers around the base, whether or not those towers were built by that base. This was a problem on the last level when it was stalemated in the middle--I managed to capture the middle base for just a moment and lost it again, and because of that I lost all the towers I'd placed to try and secure the middle base in the first place.
I think it needs some work before it really gets good, but I really like it. It plays slowly, and it _really_ needs actual isntructions. If I didn't already know Puzzle Fighter/Puyo Puyo I'd have no idea what I was doing. I don't really like that the attack gems only become usable if you make another match on top of them--it makes it much harder to make a comeback, where the back and forth intense matches are what make Puzzle Fighter so enjoyable.
Why would you even upload this? It's like putting a line on a canvas and sending it to an art show. Anything that has the phrase "sends in a T-Rex" has to have _some_ potential, but please, come back when it's finished.
