It combines the fertility of Alien, the tech-savviness of Predator, and the HOLY S*** of Doom. Very well done indeed, can't wait for the next installment. Oh, and for those who haven't played Doom, enjoy the profanity emerging from your terror-filled head.
With most games, I either choose to be a Knight (valor and virtue purposes) or a Barbarian (muscular-men-of-the-north and strength purposes). Considering how Axeman can be considered a barbarian, I opted for the Knight. Sometimes health trumps damage. Sometimes not.
I'm used to the needle-bar situation, mainly due to FF8 (gunblade action required scroll bar and timing) and the Mardek games (reaction is scroll bar timing as well). Overall, very detailed art, some of the dialogue wasn't very helpful, final battle (even on easy) had me resetting my characters' points. 4/5, only because dialogue wasn't helpful.
Being a gamer who specializes in RPG style, I'm quite impressed with this. Brought back memories from the SNES Final Fantasy games. Of course, there were alot of hilarious moments (personal favorite, Cat Rescue Ch. 4 ending). Overall, the main story was funny, hilarious, and it's not much to ask to grind (mainly because you get loot to use/sell). I also like the upgrade feature of this game, something one doesn't normally see, or if they do see it, it's beyond their price range. Overall, 9/10. Well done for someone who made this game solo.
@Jub Cheetah: For crafting high quality products of any kind, you need 1000 in that specific field as well as 1000 in Artistry. In the end, you should end up making those high quality items and equipment at about 50%, there is no guarantee with those epic items.
@Undefined I usually love the games you come up with, but this one seems to be a little low for your standards. Sure, your other games have a little lag here and there, but it was still fun to play. This one doesn't catch my interest, even though you are a great game developer. Overall, I give it a 6 on a scale of 1-10, just out of respect for you.
