Strangely, the last few levels were not at all laggy. Excellent, excellent game, with lots of variety for this genre, attractive design, and a good balance of grind and pressing forward. 5/5!
This is simply awful. I'm not even sure this should be labeled a "game." No balance, confusing interface, boring graphics - Kongregate, what were you thinking when you made this a challenge?
A huge improvement over the previous entries in terms of graphics and menu layouts. Combat is also much smoother. The skills in this one seem more appropriate, rather than some being carry-overs from Protector games. Otherwise, frustration still outweighs the rewards. My initial impressions after one run-through: resting is bleeding expensive, working fails too often, and too few low-level dungeons spawn. Piety and Prestige are interesting concepts, but I was so desperate for extra weeks that it's difficult to imagine being able to EVER spend either on the other options (not including sandbox, obviously). I hope you continue to read and respond to comments, since this is the best MPP so far!
Nice concept with great graphics, but by the final chapter (honestly, somewhat bit earlier) the grind has got me down. Any variety between enemies, attacks and items is entirely superficial. Biggest complaint: Savegame+, in this case the "Golden Save," is nothing new, and I don't know what sort of player the dev is expecting to grind through twice and keep playing. Grant a Savegame+ bonus the FIRST TIME THROUGH if you give it at all.
fun concept, and plenty of laughs. I would really have appreciated a faster way to delete bridge pieces, whether via hotkeys or better mouse interaction. It takes a long time to dismantle a bridge piece-by-piece, and when I've built a first working bridge on a multi-chasm map, I don't want to hit "clear all" to deal with a complicated faulty bridge
Bravo, dev. There are so many great puzzle games on Kongregate, but this one really stands out, both in terms of gameplay and a very sympathetic (though puzzling, hehe) story. Bravo!
Nice idea. Menus are a mess, beginning with inventory but what about just simple, standard things like "Return to Main Menu"? It's lame to have to restart to, say, refresh my browser for this. Nice job establishing a fun, simple gameplay style, though
