SPOILER PART 2 of 2: Doctor Herregods: Get subversion. Beat on him until he's close to 99000 hp, then hit him with subversion. Stuns help a bit with making sure you get him under 99000 before subverting. Somebody's Shadow: this was the toughest for me. Get disruption, shatter bolt, break, and as much regeneration as you can. Whenever he has 100 mana, hit him with the disruption. When you can, use break, shatter, (something), shatter, (something), break to keep him stunned for six rounds while your buddies beat on him. I used iron skin and block during the three or so rounds that he's not stunned just to make sure I didn't die.

You can beat all bosses at level 16 or earlier. I just did. I used assassin for the high speed. Took Amber because when she can be bothered to give herself the speed boost she does phenomenal damage. The glitch peiking mentioned below for getting secondary weapons also works for equipping wrong-class weapons and gear, like the destroyer primary arms you can get in the fourth zone. But remove whatever they WERE using first, or it'll vanish when the new item slips into place.

Come on guys, it's not as bad as all that. icerock's strategy is probably fine, but I like being able to move a bit faster. I upgraded gun to level 5, then started splitting points between gun and shield until gun level 20, and then I started dumping points into speed and shield for a while. Then got my gun up to 50 and went back to shield and speed. Rather than maintining a single course, I prefer to slowly curve around. The guys that drop mines behind them aren't quite so deadly that way. Sitting still and watching the boss's movement pattern is far better than trying to run and gun him. If your speed were high enough, you could just trail him behind you. But my speed wasn't that high. Very pretty graphics, and once I got the hang of it, it was pretty fun. 4/5. The 3000 point badge should probably be a hard though, the learning curve on this game is pretty steep.

Took me forever to figure out that I was losing life when the ghost/pumpkin touched the base of my sling. Neat graphics, but adds little to the sling line of games. A whole lot of stretching from rock to rock, not very imaginative. 3/5

3/5. I was planning to give it 5/5 until I discovered how *$%&*(#($*%& hard it was to get all golds on the last two courses. I think this is frustration speaking.

excellent animation, good story. Strong violence. Probably too hard to figure out though, I can't imagine many people could complete without a walkthrough.

Oh yeah, and that force discard card is near worthless. The best use I could find for it was to build up my opponent's taint and then force a discard because (probably a bug here) when they discard it hits them with another taint. I really like the sanity aspect of the game. I've read some lovecraft and played the old old Call of Cthulhu RPG. Kudos for getting much of it right. Just wish the summoned creatures were more powerful. Doubling each of their attacks would help.

not bad. there should be some deck customization, a multiplayer option, and the mechanics need some tweaking. I had shub-niggurath for a while there and at some point she just stopped attacking. Also, summoning generally should be re-evaluated; given that having 2-5 points of defense is trivially easy to maintain, the vast majority of summoned creatures are worthless most of the time. And megalomania should probably have more down side and less up side. The insanities generally are not all that bad (unless you get hit with schizophrenia after spending several turns building your arcane power, or you use the city of r'lyeh and get hit with schizophrenia as your insanity). Apparently all these folk who are complaining about the lack of artwork have trouble reading.

3/5. Would have given 4/5 but for the last battle. That "End" fellow doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the game. Levels 4 and 5 were tough for me, and then the game was a breeze until The End. Try for a more steady progression. Also, some of the language was bizarre. As several have pointed out, the giant dwarves, crossbow arrows, and "perfect score" are all out of place.

VICTORY! The revold has succeeded and Desert Patrol has seized the power in the state. John Sheppard has big plans on how to vanquish the robbers and help people build a flourishing civilization. Many more battles and historical events will take place in the nearest future, but that is another story... Other than some poor english at times, fantastic game. 5/5
