I admit that I set him on fire a few extra times just to watch him zoom. Great graphics, pretty good puzzles, short enough that I never got tired of it. 4/5
Good game, but too much of it is luck. A game like MtG has the luck of the draw, but little else; this game has the luck of the draw, plus MANY of the cards have random effects, so the game regularly hinges on dumb luck. On the up side, that's how I managed to defeat a fake god with no upgraded cards and only the 1 rare weapon.
I appreciate the effort, but I'm only giving 3/5. In terms of actual gameplay, it's very similar to Sonny. The character development is more in-depth, but unfortunately you can max almost every stat before you get to the end game, so most characters will look pretty similar by the end. I played it through with a double-mace dude, and about the time I got the skill that makes dual wield feasible, I never faced another opponent who was even mildly challenging. The final boss went down in a single round. Suggestions: reduce the number of fights needed to reach final boss (this will help with the maxing problem and the progression problem), and possibly allow for optional fights for those that just want to keep levelling away. Also, work on the typos. There are many of them, particularly in the videos.
Enjoyable game, but the 100% and no daughter bug is not gone. I lost the game on my first playthrough, but on the second I had 100% with 16 hours to go. I wandered around, even checking out the "St. Paul's Court" area based on the note talking about holing up, but my daughter never appeared.
All badges earned, and I'll never play this game again. The randomness of... well... everything... is annoying. The fact that "Here be Dragons" is mathematically unattainable is annoying. And the game just isn't really particularly fun. I did occasionally come close to smiling at the silliness.
Enjoyable game. I'd give it 5/5 if it weren't so astonishingly repetetive. By the time you reach NY, you get really bored of those first few days. Having differences between cities, starting you at a more advanced point, more shop options so that it wasn't just a matter of repeating the same strategy 20+ times would really enhance repeated gameplay. Still, fun enough to earn 4/5.
Enjoyable game. Too short. I've killed everything in the "deep space" sector, but it doesn't register that I've completed the mission, and I'm just sort of stuck here without a blackhole portal home. 4/5
Beautiful, fun, interesting, but surprisingly short, especially with the clues. Maybe the clues should only appear if you ask for them, or if you're having trouble.
It would also be nice if you could save your design a la fantastic contraption. It should autosave your best design too, so that you could reload it to tweak or to show someone how you did it without having to start over.
pdu81 has some good ideas, though I disagree with his overall view of the game. Speedup during test mode, the ability to move nodes within length limits, and eliminating the randomization that leads to a bridge working on one attempt and failing on the next without modification would all vastly improve the game. Also, the right click/left click bug that lets you make ridiculously long bridges should really be fixed. Still, 4/5.
Also, #1-51 on the all time list are obviously cheaters; the sum of all of the banks is only $43,045.
The difficulty of missions appears to be somewhat random; while missions generally appear to grow more difficult over time, some are ridiculously harder than others. The elven general is far better than the others because of her spells and magical attacks. The game has a number of bugs; some "Supercritical" attacks deal no damage, and my game is currently frozen for no apparent reason. Overall, needs a lot of work but should someday be fun.
I have no idea how the scoring on this game works. I just beat the game with over 500,000 bonus, never died, and only got about 62,000 score. What affects score? What affects the bonus at the end of each round? What is the upgrade going to do before I click on it? 3/5 for failing to eschew obfuscation.
