Here's my boss strategies if anyone need them: Cerberus - Get close to him, let him leap over you, shoot him in the back. Repeat. Then stand further away, let him come close, jump over him right after he lands after a jump and immediately shoot him in the back before he prepares another. Hades - When you fall into the room, land on the upper platform and jump up to shoot the boss's head to take the first health point. Then focus on dodging. Kill bats as soon as you can without getting hit with a fireball. Kill all spiders whenever you're on the ground. Get onto platforms whenever you can to try and sneak shots at the head, but don't get greedy if you're at risk of taking a hit or getting overrun by enemies. At low health, Hades will start shooting fireball volleys aimed diagonally down-and-left and up-and-left. These will be harder to dodge, but as long as you watch their trajectories an opening will soon appear for you to kill the boss.

This game is quite challenging, but screens are short and reset quickly if you fail them. It allows you to adapt a strategy for each encounter and incrementally figure out how to outmaneuver the enemies. The bosses are pretty fun and have simple mechanics. The only thing that felt really unfair was the projectile randomness in the fights against Hades and especially against the first shooting enemy. It shoots too fast to jump over all projectiles and the only strategy I've found to kill this guy is to beg RNG for it to shoot enough fireballs over my head to let me kill it while jumping over the ones aimed at me. The second half of the game is incomparably easy though and all the empty rooms break up the action to make it all the more boring. If those rooms featured some writing, for example messages tempting Orpheus to turn around, they would at least be interesting. Fun but not without flaws, 4/5 for a pretty nice game and good memories from when I first played it 10 years ago.

warrior+mage = worm+mage. Some of these combinations are completely useless but so amusing.

The first perk of the Fireball spell is a joke. A fireball that hits for 10k wihtout a crit, tics for just 31 damage on stage 4-3 crabs. The enemy has almost 50k health. The damage over time doesn't scale with my int/magic damage so it becomes a wasted perk very quickly.

The NPC dialogue interruptions are a nice touch, but they shouldn't capture clicks on the board to skip dialogue. Makes players miss both the dialogue and some good matches.

How about adding a number indicator of main quest/next zone progress? It's all guesswork to know how many mobs you actually have left to kill in a zone before you can move on.

Minor QoL option: changing notation. I don't like seeing the e5 gold prices, because it's not immediately obvious how they relate to my current gold if it's under 1e5. Sure, I know 12k is 12% of 1e5 when I think about it, but it feels like mixing notations when 12k, still a relatively large number, is still written in the long format. Would be nice to be able to switch between scientific and engineering notation in the settings, maybe also adding the notation where 1e6 is written as 1M etc., which some people prefer, while you're at it.

I wish they'd made the call to rollback the block update when it was already shown to be broken yesterday, and taken it back for fixes. I have no interest in the chat stickers, I just wanna catch 'em all.. And when I go to the /kongpanions page I see that I already have a checkmark on this badge from when I got it long ago, so it's not even like they lost my badge progress here. It just doesn't show up on the actual game page during the day that it's the BotD.

How about making the "remember to check incrementy upgrades" text a shortcut to that panel? Seems like an intuitive option that saves a little bit of clicking.

@NormanY3 Your base is the number in the parenthesis: e.x. in H2(5) the base is 5.

And a bit of world-building would be a cool addition, I think. Short zone descriptions, maybe with hints about their difficulty, so you know where you're going and can recognize places better by their theme not just name. Like "a city of great warriors", "mountain infested with powerful elementals", "abandoned ruins", "fishing village".

Some explanation of the map symbols would be welcome. It took me a while to spot myself on there and figure out my location is the X, and I still don't get if the others signify something or are just aesthetic.

The weapons aren't balanced at the moment. Ranged weapons deal lots of damage and allow you to avoid most damage. I've found the 10% heal variants most powerful. While very rare to drop, the scythe-staff allows you to dance circles around bosses with its teleport and black hole. The heal-bow offers great aoe. I haven't tried all the sword&shield combinations yet, but they're a weapon combo with a solid kit, while still lagging behind the ranged weapon types' strength. Shield rush is good for bursting down enemies. On the other hand, greatswords are very disappointing. They don't deal enough damage to make up for the lack of a shield to block hits, and the secondary attack doesn't really come together with the rest of what they have to offer - if it doesn't one-shot, you're still left with an enemy you have to walk up to to kill. A buffing parry or a stun of some kind would possibly fit it better. I haven't messed with dual-wielding much, but it also seems even weaker than sword&shield.

The game is fun, but eventually gets repetitive with the same few maps, same enemies and identical spawnpoints each time you go though a level. This is more prominent because so much time is spent 'fighting' boxes and walking over coins. A loot magnet and some more levels would be nice to see.

I had the same bug happen to me with the blood-mage boss as Galaga. I killed him mid-cast and decided to teleport into his corpse to gather my money and quickly move on to the next iteration. He suddenly got up and cast the spread attack right where I stood, decimating my character instantly. RIP my legendary heal-staff.

4th of May is circled on the calendar, so I thought the numbers would be 4/5, 5/4, 04 to signify that day. I got it right by accident, while switching from 04 to 45. In hindsight, the photo clue wasn't bad, but at the time that I found it I was trying to somehow use it with the camp markers on the map and it slipped my mind by the time I got to the calendar room to possibly make the connection. My favorite clue was the business card, subtle but clear once you noticed it. The slow zoom into the boiler was absolutely terrfying, only amplified by the muffled noise inside that sounds like the damn thing is already on and about to fry me. Very effective in getting under my skin. As with the first game, make ending the chapter a bit more voluntary - I wanted to finish up with the pressure lock before scouring the rooms to find out why 15 was the correct answer for the calendar but once I turned the key the character walked through the door without my input.

The 3D camera movement was nice to see in a room escape game and allowed for smoother gameplay, without all the spam-clicking sides of objects to find hidden areas that 2D games of this genre sometimes suffer from. The peephole was pretty clever with how the actual clue was off to the side and missable without thorough inspection. The piece of paper with the first part of the code looked a lot like sandpaper to me, so you completely bamboozled me into trying to wipe this perfectly useless piece of paper over the floor grate, walls and safe, and probably other things. Was there any purpose to the grate, by the way? I could zoom into it, but nothing ever happened with it. Not that I mind a red herring, it's realistic that not every detail of the room is useful to your escape, but I dislike missing easter eggs.
