Would be nice to see next zone requirements. I'm in Zone 2 and I have no idea how I unlocked it or what I should do to reach the next one and the tutorial isn't helpful on that note. When you select 10x or MAX purchase for upgrades, you should be able to see the price you will pay and how many upgrades you will actually buy. The game is nice but pretty bare-bones right now.
@Eppie_Spacely If it's all displaying properly, there should be a small arrow on the cube in the middle that you can click to slide it off the screen. Remove all white shapes from a level to finish it.
On the collection screen, it would be nice to see progress with each fish species at a glance (colored outline or small icon in the corner), at least for maxed out species but possibly for all levels. The money totals that appear there were not really useful to me and actually confused me as to their meanings at first. I'd also be all for a reeling mode to focus on one target instead of each fisherman targetting a different fish and all but one of them escaping because I can't follow all of them.
Pretty sure the game is dead or it bugged severely for me. I got a blank profile and NaN gold when I started. A lot of empty info fields. Using the latest Chrome on Win10.
Solid little puzzle. Some levels had pretty clever solutions that were difficult to come up with. The puzzles didn't get boring or repetitive like it often happens. The tapping to move got a bit annoying after failing a level a few times.
@Eppie_Spacely: The outline is not what's important, but the color of the tile you step on. An orange tile means "next turn, this tile will be attacked". You can't end your move on that tile unless you kill the enemy that is attacking it. Keep in mind that attacking an enemy or crate means you end your turn on the same tile you stand on.
Here's what I did to get the medium badge: I put a bunch of the regular soldiers (mostly the [2] guys; I upgraded 2 of them with the [1] weapon; I had 1 or 2 of the [1] guys too) in two trenches with a medic in each. I added a gunner and a bazooka guy later on. It seemed to work okay for the first 100 kills. It's probably a bad strategy long-term, but it did the job at least. I left the game to its own devices around 80-90 kills and died with 109 kills.
If you're ever having trouble in this game, get 82+ Strength, go to Caesarea in the south-west of the map, buy Greek Fire (looks like a brown jug) and burn everything with molotovs. After that, all you need is some armor and a hefty stack of potions to spam when your health starts to drop and you're set. If your champion has thrown weapon skills (like Karl, the male champion of Order) this strat gets even better.
Dear Kong, levels 11-20 are literally levels 1-10, but easier. Please rework the badge. People who don't know who adds badges might just give the Dev hate for no reason and lower this game's ratings unnecessarily.
I completely don't get level X (E part). I feel like a guessing game with multiple solutions is completely opposite to what the rest of the game was about. The first 28 levels are lots of fun and pretty difficult. I liked them a lot.
@BogudanP I would check for browser malware or shady addons if I were you. I have 3GB ram used on chrome (a RAM-hungry browser) with 40 tabs open (don't judge me, please) and have been playing this game for a few hours on-and-off. The most ram a single tab uses for me is around 500MB. Even if it has a memory leak it's not nearly bad enough to cause that much trouble that quickly.
This was delightful. An hour disappeared without me even noticing. The daily mode is also a very nice touch to add a bit of replayability at fairly little cost (since I assume it's auto-generated). Great job, and bonus points for being a responsive dev. :3
Yea I think the bars would look good as well, even putting it in the popup that shows up when you catch a fish could help orient players.
