Magic has the same problem of losing instantly. Ditto every other card game ever, electronic or otherwise. There is no way around it- it is a flaw of the genre. How severe it is is another thing, and it is not common in my experience in elements. As for RT, You get to attack again with it, you get to use it again. With... Let's say lightning, that kills half the creatures in the game, it's gone forever. That's just as, if not even more uncounterable, why isn't that just as or more OP than RT? Why RT specifically and not artic squid or basilisk and nightmare?
@Jadedgeek: The starter decks are terrible. It is more than possible, with a few tweaks to each one, here and there, to make a deck that can beat the bronze arena reliably, where you get tons of rares. I mean, sure, Zanz should just make the starter decks actually decent, but it really isn't that hard to make a deck that can get you where you need to go.
Minus a few of the shards and dime shield, correct Pork. I mean, dimensional shield is critical for the sucess of lower-end FG grinders, and we see SoD everywhere.
dugong: Fire dies to fire. Seriously, I beat most mono fire rushes by stealing their fire shield, it's hilarious. That, and fire dies to any kind of CC.
@Aariku: Most decks can't play their expensive cards turn 2 or 3. The fire starter deck is mostly about getting those dragons out turn 2 or 3, or even turn 1 with some luck. Then watching them dying to the eternal plethora of counters to them.
Mainly, the purpose of nightmare is to mess up card drawing and stop you from playing as many things. Obsidian dragons are expensive, even in a mono dark, so it's a... decent play... I guess.
@Lord/Pkmn: Do arena. A ton of different decks, a ton of different ways, and a ton of rares. What more do you want? And btw, I'd only consider a game a grindfest if you were doing the same thing over and over and over (see CM.) At least in elements, or at least in the arena, it's diverse.
@Pantastic: Read DM's post, up there. "We're currently suffering from a PvP "bug". Basically, our servers aren't at its' best, and we get disconnected upon PvP'ing, quite often; which leads to losses. (I don't usually ask for upvotes, but can we make this stay up for some time? All the "PvP ain't working" comments are getting repetitive..)"
