I don't think you will get any intelligible reply from the dev...language barrier is one thing, to which I actually can relate. But mostly they are of course aware they are pulling at straws and they just hate it to be called out for it. The game is intentionally designed to progress slower and slower after the initial few levels and filled with artificially created shortage of resources to which then the game offers you a quick solution - in the form of premium currency. Special offers with a countdown ticking below them - the oldest trick in the book. Create a sense of urgency so people will make purchases without much time to consider it rationally. A gold offer equal in value to roughly 120 $ in the store - more than a fully fledged modern game...and so on and so on. I actually considered just taking screens of all the premium currency buttons ingame and making a collage, just for the heck of it..
Interesting artstyle and could also be interesting combat mechanics if it wasn't for the fact that it is a grindhell pay 2 play/win "game" The amount of "offer" popups is staggering and the fact it wants you to play fullscreen isn't all that bad when you consider it forces that adbanner down your throat when you do not play on fullscreen...yes, that is right, despite the fact it is ripe with waiting mechanics, from building, recruiting, researching even up to opening "reward chests" (yes, you even have to wait to open chests) and premium currency ofers AND (intentionally) nonexistant pvp balancing it STILL goes the extra mile to shove ads in your face. WOW. DO yourself a favour and pass up on this.
The temporary "force" of play in fullscreen is just for the firsts steps of the game. After you end the tutorials, you will not see more the indication of "Please, play in fullscreen".
About your opinion of P2W: We focus hard on maintaining a stable game, either for those who support the game, or those who only put in their time. Both players are important in our team and project. The offer who popup, when you enter to the game, is only 1-time when you enter first time to the game. That is not enough for base your opinion for say is just a simple P2W game. Please, tell us because your reasoning is short and poorly founded, so we can understand it better.
"ENTWICKLERANTWORT VON BARBASU
With both packs you should have gotten more than you lost. There is something called a bug, which I have no control over, took quite a while to fix as I could not reproduce it." I don't know what happened. ALl I can say is I had turret flat damage upgraded to the point where the next upgrade would have costed 4.6 k or so...do't remember the exact value, might have been 4.4 or 4.8 k as well..but roughly in that area. Also had upgraded the critical artifact quite a bit. Now after both compensation packages damage artifact is back to a lvl where next upgrade is 3.6 k, no upgrades i critical artifact. That is a pretty substantial setback. And nowhere close to where I was previously. I don't endorse the hostility with which people respond, but the frustration I totally get...
Come on I really don't think Barbasu intentionally caused the artifact stuff...Frustrates me too, a lot actually..But just to assume it happened with ill intention is not fair either. Prolly only one person working on this, quite possible next to a real job...only so much a person can do. The issue could have been handled etter though.. :/
Bloody hell...it is a fun gae but it is glitched as all hell and sometimes it feels like it just gets worse instead of better. Been pushed back so many times now. I totally can see the dev is working super hard on fixing stuff, but it really begins to get frustrating. Still had my artifacts but only way to get rid of that button was to click on it...So thanks to a fix for an issue i did NOT have for once I got a huge issue...uuuuughhhh
Then on the other end of the scale....Fighter and Barbaria...I honestly don't see myself beating the game as either of those. YOu don't get a decent weapo early on, you are pretty much screwed. And even a great weapon won't get you too far without some good armour or other stuff. With a great seed I can see warrior becoming super strong, thing is without a great seed you're pretty much dead meat...you pretty much need to go in to deal damage, meaning you tend to get swarmed super fast. Uless you find a lot of wands your ranged damage won't shine, and even with great armour mages still tear you apart. Deflect can't be used constantly and isn't all that reliable either...And Barbarian seems even worse :S
Much to my surprise i find roque to be extremely strong possibly the "easiest" class. Great dodge, ridiculous sigle target damage and also very versatile..due to high dex he also can be really good with ranged combat...throw in sprint abilit and/or a confusion charm and you pretty much win. Doesn't even need a great weapon, he crits so hard, it doesn't matter.
Def agree, he just demands a bit more finesse as far as managing hoards of monsters. I think once you've grasped the basics of "don't just walk up to a hoard of monsters and click your way to death", he's probably one of the most straight forward, dependable characters to win with. As you said, he doesn't even need a great weapon to get his damage into crazy territory.
@2002mackan That is because all those games are based on RPG maker. If you look at eshleman202's profile, you can see he is making those games in his free time, next to his day job. And he also is learning unity. Sounds pretty rough to me :S But I guess when you really want to do something you just gotta push and give it your all
GGirlGem Mithril you can get somewhat easily from high level golems found on hard mines. Raning up you do whenever you finish faction missions. Hope that helps
"The alternative way to get Elemental Essence is synthesizing it, go to Forest 1 Hard and tag the Nature Elementals they drop the Weak Elemental Essence which you need 3 of it to craft the Elemental Essence." How does this work? I got a stack of weak essences, but I do not have the option to do it? do I require a special recipe for that?
Can anyone tell me where I can get/find salt? I got 1 somewhere but do not remember...assumed it was fro mining, but now I cant seem to find it in any deposits
@Galaga fire realm, from south-east of the docks if I remember right.
Btw, is there any way to "farm" magic dust or is it supposed to be ultra rare? Quite a few things you could do with it but after having beaten the den and what I assume to be the available content up to this point I found 2 in the entire game :O Also, one big pet peeve I have with the game - could we get SOME kind of tooltip or explanation as to what the various status effects actually DO? Like fire, poison and freeze are rather obvious, but what exactly do bless, energy bound, soul trapped ?
What does guard stance do, what does the defend command under specials, Why do we have an escape option that is always greyed out and doesn't seem to do anything? I realize this is an unfinished game, but there seem to be a lot of nice concepts/ideas which aren't fleshed out/lead nowhere. For what it is I really enjoyed the ride though
Noticed the key stuff as well..one from the tent guy, one from a chest, one (or two) fro Rakear himself...hahaha...but it worked at least. The skelleton key quest is still open for me. Also the quest where you shall discover a crack on a wall on the second level in the mine. Anyone got solutions for those or are they bugged?
Are the runes bugged ? I assumed (A) or (W) behind the runes stands for armor or weapon, respectively. But I got a load of vitality(A) runes available under weapons, not
I am around lvl 32/33ish or so now and at this point even pre cleave nerf I felt it was just about going in, looking what the game would throw at me and then either proceeding or cancelling to start a new run. As for the cleave nerf in itself - I don't know...it is not like the nerf unlocks a new tactical aspect or will impact decision maing since there literally is nothing you can really change at a certain point. Heck, from the get go it is not like you could even control if/when a cleave would happen. It just increases the chances of failure a little bit more. But it *adds* nothing to the game, it does not improve gameplay in any way.
And when it comes to the dragons there is just little to no strategy involved, it is just a matter of having enough resources to outlast them and hammer away until you get lucky with your rolls. And it is similar with gameplay in general. Past a certain point , after you got your decision making down there really isn't much else you can do but just go and see how rng turns out - your dice rolls, positioning of enemies and the placement of loot containers (and what they contain) It is entirely possible to have runs that are pretty much dead on arrival simply due to starting gear, positioning of enemies and loot. Again, that can happen in most roquelikes, but unlike here in most of them you eventually unlock a lot more options and ways to influence the outcome.
@Tandu Pardon me, but that (non)argument is rather ignorant. Just because the spanish flu killed more people than the pestilence doesn't mean I need to like the prestilence, if you catch my drift? That being said, there is a lot I like in this game. It is pretty nice how you can use the map layout to your advantage at times, how you for example can leave using one entrance, go back in through another one and surprise enemies. Or turn enemies against each other. Some really nice ideas and creativity. However that does not take anything away from the core flaws of the game. Yes, rng and a chance to fail is a core mechanic of anroquelike game and I have no issue with that. My issue lies within th sheer repetivness of what could be an amazing game. After a certain point you don't get any new tactical elements anymore. SO what follows is going through the same rng procedure again and again, adding one more dragon at the end.
