The developer is so stingy, that i'm being pressured in a daily competition by BOTS just to make sure I don't win too much of his virtual goods. Surely this is not a shady tactic to entice me to win more and thus perhaps pay more? No way - there isn't a person scummy enough on this earth to do this... ...Aliens?
Yeah... Added icons, botched the numbers on the screen. To be honest I'd prefer good numbers with bad presentation over nice presentation with useless numbers.
We are aware of the problem and are trying to fix this, as time goes we plan to update the game with new content and bug fixes, including changing the boxes physics, thank you for the input :D
It works, it's mechanically sound in the core gameplay loop. The rudimentary progression mechanics are entirely superfluous and should have been dropped. Artwork is weak, but passable. All in all it's better than the rating it has - but not by a large margin.
I love ZBlip's modus operandi: take a commonly known puzzle format and then add features to it, that make it more interesting and complex. Experiencing a new take on the familiar is great :D. I also love the learning curve being very smooth and no puzzle being too hard to think through. And the games always look pretty enough not to challenge the aesthetic sense, but at the same time the pretty never trumps visual communication. Great work on another great game!
A puzzle game, that regularly urges you to think outside of the box. And then a non-puzzle scroller-platformer boss level, where thinking outside of the box is rewarded with an awkward glitch. Not the fun kind - the sad kind. Shame.
After getting the game to work and getting to 13% and seeing the same puzzle yet again without any change in difficulty or new mechanics introduced I call it quits. Tedium and bloat is not gaming.
Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy it. The puzzles do get more interesting as the game goes on. I tried to keep it as concise as I could. An original version had a much steeper difficulty curve, but many people had difficulties understanding about the concept of a circuit and how to make one, so when I updated the puzzles, i really tried to drum the basics in before moving on to more complex stuff. Still, clearly this game is not for you.
It appears that this is with the Vivaldi web browser. This browser is not supported. For other people playing this, there is a list of Browsers that are supported in the instructions for the game. I've now added Vivaldi as one that is explicitly not supported.
There is NO difficulty curve. The game is repetitive to the point of grind. The concept is tired and annoying. And the visuals are not communicated well. This barely qualifies as a game. BUT! As unrated games go on this site - it's serviceable in comparison. 3/5.
The star on Dangerous Ceiling is a bit too much of a grindfest. It's annoying that even when the solution is obvious, you still have to grind through the moves (a lot of them too) to prove it. Maybe move it to the right a few blocks?
In your response to den3107 you were thinking of implementing a "memory" feature nicely. Here's a thought: *** 1. Use shift+drag to add block as a potentially fitting. *** 2. Use shift+click on a potential block within target space to remove that block from it. *** 3. Four blocks are max you can remember for any given target space. *** 4. Visualize potential blocks like so: https://imgur.com/XPztuNM
Wow! Nicely done. I've just finished implementing that in the full game and then i saw your post. I guess we had almost the same idea! There will be 4 "notes" (i call it like that because they will look like sticky notes) placed the same way you have done. Instead of shift+drag i will use the right mouse button. To remove it you can right click on it or place other on top. Anyway, nice work you've done there. Thanks
