I really liked the aesthetics of this game, I think to bulk it out into a full game you could alternate between this mini game, and maybe some kind of platform/puzzle in between and base the story around Odin's sacrifice he made to learn the runes, from Nordic mythology. I can see you have put a lot of effort into this, so I'd expect any improvements made to be as good!
Congratulations on making an intelligent parser! I was going to give this a 3/5 until I realised how good it was. There's nothing that spoils a good game more than a fiddly typing system that needs spot on grammar and spelling so I upgraded my rating to 5.
Hahaha, what a brilliant and bizzare short game! The graphics were some of the best I've ever seen. I loved the way you gave the illusion of depth just by using pixels. It would be great to see you make a longer game, maybe a point and click adventure as the graphical style and your sense of humour seem to suit that genre. 5/5 (despite the shortness and limited gameplay)
Really good game, the overlay and music remind me of the film 'Stranger than Fiction'. The controls are simple, and the puzzles get increasingly harder, sometimes frustrating, but never to the point where I'd stop playing. The cows also are amusing. 4/5
The graphic style and general mood of the game is brilliant. I also like the little touches like easy interface and automatic restart. If it was a bit more challenging I would give full marks, but I rate 4/5
This is a really clever concept, and well executed to make an interesting puzzle game. Effective use of extremely simple graphics and music to give the game a great atmosphere. Well done mate
The game had good logical puzzles, in classic adventure game style, but the animation was a bit ropy and the voice acting was not very good (the main character sounds like he's from southampton and trying to do an american accent). Also most of the swearing seemed forced and un-needed which added to the unconvincing voice over. I enjoyed the game as a whole though and give 3/5
I enjoyed this game as much as any cannon shooting game, which is a style I really like. But I did find the pastel colours make it hard to see things on the screen. Everything seemed a bit backgroundish.
This is a really fun game, with nice simple graphics and gameplay and a good, slightly surreal vibe. However, I reckon it could have been made a bit more interesting if you got bonus points for things like hitting the ref in the head, making a boss pass, or finishing a level quickly. Also it can be awkward aiming when the cursor is near the edge of the screen. Other than that, it was great 4/5
