Oh, and just to point out, given the 'updates' that on a PC that can run Mass Effect, Oblivion or Bioshock without a hitch, running this game with no sound and at minimal graphics lags so bad that it literally took a few seconds shy of three minutes to go from wave 33 to 34, and there are still about 3 dozen pirates loitering at the bottom of my screen. Just pointing out that graphical quality isn't what's causing lag, here.
I'm sure someone's already said something if this happens to everyone, but there's got to be more than just me having this issue that when the pirates tunnel, as soon as one starts coming up from the end of the tunnel, the game freezes for about a half second. Sounds like it's not a big deal, 'til you consider about 40 pirates just wandering around in circles down there doing nothing but tunneling, and next thing you know you've been playing for half an hour and you're only on wave 22. Great game, but honestly, with that lag, it's not worth trying for the other badges.
Not bad. Though I'd recommend making 'easy' more of a tutorial, and only about 10 levels, and then renaming each of the levels one level down (hard becomes normal, etc.) Not very challenging, but otherwise well-done.
Hm. Not bad. Got the badges and all, so that's fine. But not very replayable. Levels like 16, where your solution requires cutting to the very edge of the screen are nearly (if not completely) impossible, and make it no longer about luck or skill, but instead about the ability to place your cursor on a strip of 1 pixel height (if it exists at all) and click, not knowing if it'll work, over and over and over. Not a fun activity. At least it'd work if dragging the mouse beyond the edge counted as releasing the button, but as it is, it's just a hassle.
Fun game, nice sounds, good controls. I can only find two faults. No way to restart in game (considering that there's no 'one-ups' I've found, if I lose a life to early, I might as well restart, and that means refreshing the page - annoying). Secondly, it's possible to end up unable to progress because if you make bad purchases (say the large propeller and the floodlight, for instance), you'll be unable to sell anything, but unable to reach more treasure. Unable to progress, and you have to restart. Aside from those two MINOR complaints, lots of fun.
Hm. I have to admit that in the later levels, when the cars will be going from one stop light to another, and they'll actually STOP in the middle of the intersection (think level 18, for instance) even if they're only one car in front of them, and easily 4 car lengths of open space. I can only assume it's a bug of some sort, but highly annoying when you're trying to regulate traffic.
Shoot for the eyes - and by "shoot for the eyes", I mean "shoot somewhere in the vicinity of the eyes. Maybe. Probably. Or maybe they'll just die a couple of seconds later, their heads exploding right after they manage to kill you. Meh. *shrugs*" Great idea for the game, and all well and good up to the point where actually doing what you're supposed to do gets you impossibly stuck. A few tweaks, and it'd be great, I'm sure.
Excellent game - hugely playable (no point in being REplayable, really, since there's no ending). I would think that a greater variety of abilities, as opposed to mostly weapons, would be a plus, but that's a minor complaint, at best.
Good application of the style, like the weapons, and the way the mouse was used. The backstory could use some work - that's my only complaint. Everything else is pretty much gold.
