those other primates evolved from the same ones we did according to the theory of evolution, monkeys are our distant cousins, not or great, great, (alot of greats) grandparents
you kill the final battle after pressing the switch by standing in the space where he cant hurt you, and wait. eventually he starts talking about roles and control and crap, then dies
we never were monkeys, according to science we shared a common ancestors millions of years ago. according to religion, we were created within days of each other. neither one support any of the logic used in this game, un less your using some religion I've never heard of.
It would work one oif two different ways, give players more tech points to make better cells at the beginning, then go into battles with set amounts of players, time limits, etc (kind of how arcanists works)
way two, have level systems based on how powerful your celle is, along with your kill to death ratio to determine which servers, that would have limited amounts of people, and spawn you at a certain range to allow some evolution before going in for the kill(s).
nevermind I found them, I do agree that if there were more types of hexes (like maybe one that does an area attack, or stuns enemies) it would be awesome.
I think that if you added multiplayer options, and a save feature on top of that, it'd be epic
