Having finally beat the game with 2 rings of tightly packed tesla towers and one ring of decoy towers, I find it hard to believe that any other strategy could ever work :/
After being confused for a while I figured out how to stretch bows, there is a certain maximum that the handles will stretch to, and you MUST stretch all the way to get a good score, along with keeping the string straight (pulling the tip of the right side up to just under the fourth bolt above the scrap button usually does it)
Forgive me for nitpicking but is there any reason this game doesn't support the xbox360 controller? a FPS is a perfect candidate for it and unity tends to make it pretty easy to support.
I never actually figured out the tree puzzle but I still solved it, just turned the dials randomly and somehow ended up on the right solution... was a little disappointing actually :P
the patch is a disaster, not just because of the controversial content changes, but because it introduces a whole slew of brand new bugs that weren't there before. Time to hit the SVN revert button! o.o
I like it so far overall, but there are some annoying bugs, if you go to the equip screen on the clothing tab, if you trash a clothing item you're not wearing and then switch the clothing item you're wearing to a different one, the red box will highlight the wrong clothing item. But far more serious is the fact that I had both my companions die, and even though I survived to resurrect them, the 'use G to save companion' feature seems to be broken.
the hit detection may not be as off as it seems, looks to me like you have to lead the targets based on how long it takes the shot to travel to them, with size/opacity to give a sense of depth.
The beholders are easy if u get parting gift and stack ur deck full of ur weakest summons and gold mine then draw cards till u pick up parting gift and wait for him to summon beholders, then spam weaklings xD
There's a global enchantment card that causes a skeleton warrior to be randomly spawned at either portal every time a unit dies... So the number of units on screen NEVER decreases, that's a clever little way to lag me to hell. Changing to low image quality didn't help and after a while i started getting that constant pop up saying that 'a script on this page is causing flash player to run slowly would you like to abort' and I had no choice but to abort script, refresh screen, and load game. -_-
I also played shadow of colossus and liked it, one thing I remember very well about it is that the colossi would try to violently shake you off of them as you were climbing up. I can see that the idea of a shake effect has been implemented but it seems like it's mostly just for show, there were times where it shook as I was in mid jump and it made no difference. I think it would be cool if the shaking was slower but had a lot more movement, then you could do something to telegraph that shaking as about to occur and add a button that people have to hold to try and hang on.
Yes, you are correct.
