Passive/Skills/Magic really need a De-Levelling button too. It really hurts when you spend all day building up blessing + stealth, for example, only for both skills to become almost completely useless the following morning, and suddenly you are thrown back to square 1, and you cant even use the low level version of the skill (more efficient), because the SP/MP cost is just so high. If the MP/SP cost increases, then it needs to give either flat or increasing returns, not diminishing. % on stats was a much better idea than flat too, seeing as the monsters scale so fast at higher levels
Nerfing stats really hasnt made this enjoyable the past few days. Game crashed so had to reload, previousbest was 800k distance, now struggling to even get past 200k, all of the skills I had levelled have been nerfed to the point they are completely useless, and it's just making progression painful.
Tbh it seems like the thing killing the performance is that mobs have no range cap nor speed cap, meaning the game is calculating waaaay too many projectiles at once
Liking how its more involved than a typical idle game. Really needs a "low settings mode", so it can run in the background without taking up 20% or more of a current gen CPU
Just gonna say, nice start, even if it has to be another idle game, but honestly, screw the graphics for now, you dont need them, see what else you can put in functionally before anything
To be honest, not much I can say that others haven't already said. This really isn't in a state that it should have been published, much like many other games on Kongregate right now. You should really work on making something that you yourself would play, and that is at least somewhat playable, before uploading it. This really doesnt even have 5 minutes of playtime at the moment
Not sure I'm liking the way that skills all increased in cost based on the ones you already picked this time around, Higher levels are going to be insanely slow because of it.
@Kamil, do you mean a form selection? Some people prefer standard, some prefer scientific, some prefer engineering, and it can even change based on whether you are using the English billion or the US billion
Another thought, if the game is designed to get slower over time, the first 100 takes you around an hour with active play, so that would mean that if every single time you did 100 up to the final 16777, that would take you 167 hours. If its designed to slow down over time, wouldnt that endgoal increase exponentially? Not including having to re-run either due to getting prestige.
Again, not quite the point. The thing about idle games is the progress doesnt slow down, it scales up usually. Ofcourse, it largely depends on which set of idle games it fits under, Adcap types generally progress infinitely, wheras Swarm Sim slows down a bit, but not to this extent honestly. And we honestly don't need a "META" in this kind of game. Shouldn't need to follow a build guide in an idle game.
In response to my earlier comment, there is both the loss of gold paint (which is not renewable) meaning that making the wrong choice will always punish you, and that even if you pick the right ones, it will take along long time before you are able to get even close to getting new gold paints.
Its right. In all IDLE-game you progress will slow down. But in optimized talents build you will reduce this slowdown, just you need search optimized build :)
Prestige is a bit too punishing I'd say. Seeing as it seems to feel like the only way to get gold paint is to push further than your previous run, it means if you put the points in the wrong things you are basically permanently screwed over
Potions are coming in the next update and with it there will be a potion that removes skill levels.
