Ha, they added the card challenge and hard badge after I loaded the game, and I managed to meet conditions anyway. Got a Yellow Madness powerup directly after a Purple Power XD I like this game; hypnotic.
Font is hard to read, and I was too busy leading my shots to read the story as it came up. Small ships going off screen are annoying. Why can we scroll left or right, but not up and down? Also: breaking up asteroids? Reminds me of that one level in the Descent Freespace demo. Good times.
Normally I dislike having to replay levels multiple times for experience or gold for upgrades to beat the game (I'm looking at you, Epic War); I feel it's nothing more than a lazy attempt to extend gameplay time rather than through content...But THIS game is a good example of how to make it fun. :D *shoots more grinning oranges*
Finally beat story mode! I got frustrated a lot, but the strategy guide actually helped. Don't buy too many special moves for each key combo, so you know what to expect; also after I got the hang of blocking and figured out weapon ranges things were a little better. Still easy to get overwhelmed by multiple enemies on screen, especially when your character can't decide which one to target...
I already have this card...but hey, new badges! Nifty puzzle game. The only thing I'd change: It's a bit difficult for me to tell the difference between orange and red toggles. I think it's the slight texturing that fuzzes the colors a little.
