Thanks... haven't seen that happen before, but will look into it.
Edit: hey, have found this bug, and will be releasing a fix for it (and some other things) in the next day or so. For now, though, you can avoid it by clicking on a unit at the start of your turn before pressing 'select next unit'. (It happens when the last unit you selected was wiped out - you were right, it's an infinite loop!). Thanks for the info.
auto saving broken again... have to manualy save to cloud and load each time... so if i accidently restart browser without saving to cload, then all the progress is lost
well my beef, with 'building' was not the placing building it self, but rather assigning worker to the building. i expected to 'move' worker on the building, would start working on it. that is, i'd prefer worker interacting with building directly, as opposed to going to structure meniu to assign/remove them from buildings.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
also would be cool to have feature to remove all workers (except farmers) from the buildings at once. because weeks where you need to rally almost every fighter happens often, and its becomes tedious to remove each from building manually
very unintuitive building mechanics. random enemy spawns, which at times leaves no chance of survival(18 vs 45 at week ~40 srsly?). wall upgrades bugs out after every defeat (wood price do not reset). archer vs archer combat at larger scales.. if my archers are not at 'correct' wall, i dont stand a chance, as new defenders rushing to the wall get oneshotted by enemy volley
Thanks for your feed back! I didn't think anyone would see this yet honestly, just testing deployment with webgl to be sure I'm going down the right road. To your points:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ At this point play is only balanced up to around week 25, archers were never intended to spawn in the numbers you saw. There will be different enemies. Also, the spells, particularly wind, could help deal with archers.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ You're right about wall upgrades, thanks!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The building mechanics I hadn't planned on changing aside from adding a tutorial. Would that be sufficient? How else should I do it?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Thanks again.
so far got bronze->iron->marble->steel... next is coal. this is getting tedious ahaha. btw whats up with the 'permanent' boosts after establishing new town? they seem to overwrite previous boosts each time. meaning you can actually reduce your boosts, if you restart too early
ok.. in the last levels rediscovered ancient gaming technique. called - 'spawn killing'. because enemies spawn in tight groups, placing mines all over the place, gives you more resources than they actually cost. as a bonus you can place mines directly on enemy ships to nuke them. last lvl was.. 100? i think.. after it lvl count reset to "wave -1"
got to wave 81 and was too bored with the monotony at this point. my spaghetti shooting banana fighters are covering the sky completely.. outnumbering attackers 5 to 1. not even a challenge. if for some reason my fleet is on other side of the screen, i can just spam walls under enemies till my fighters come in
I wanted people to be able to test games on-site, and be able to use the Kongregate chat while testing it, so they can speak to friends or collaborators.
game is unplayable, due horrible performance and response speed. shift+left click (upgrade all buildings of same type) causes massive lag. tooltips go offscreen and are invisible at bottom and right side of the map. game does not fit into kongregate window, hence scrollbars apear. if you have less population than you need for the job, population counter starts to freak out and show 0... instead of suggesting how many ppl you are missing to fill all jobs
