Great shooter with excellent polish. But I strongly dislike that you get penalized with instant death for reaching the last boss before completing all the missions.

> I shouldn't be able to mark a square that I put an X in. -_- > Developer: It is an option you need to unlock...People are not comfortable with this so I'm considering earlier unlock timing. I don't understand what goes through a designer/developer's head when they intentionally cripple the usability of a game. "Players need to unlock the option to have fun!" I see that it's the developer's first game on kongregate and that it's a one-person team; hopefully the feedback will help him learn some things about user experience design.

Was this inspired by M.I.W., http://effects.if.tv/gm/dosu/dosuswf.html? I like how in that version, movement is controlled by mouse and is instantaneous; there's a greater rush from finding the gap and moving the cursor just in time, as opposed to having to actually walk the figure over to the gap.

Made it to lvl48 =D. Max regeneration skill and life refill at each exp level were the most important for me in terms of survival.

If people like this game, I highly recommend the game "Auditorium." Only the demo for Auditorium is free, but the demo alone has more levels than Waterfalls 2, and it's much more polished than Waterfalls. I don't see any "Waterfalls 1" on Kongregate, but if moonmana is iterating on the game design and gameplay, I hope Waterfall 3 gets closer to Auditorium quality.

Nice concept! Just finished the 1st month of the 2nd year, so far without any penalties. Getting fame doesn't seem to be that hard yet. The academy theme is pretty cool, but the RPG-er in me thinks that it'd be nicer if the hunt quests were more fleshed out. Ah well.

Hahahaha, lvl33. Awesome, great music and sound effects. I find it interesting that while enemy bullets are colored (which is absolutely necessary for dodging bullets of a specific color), the enemy ships themselves aren't. This makes it virtually impossible to avoid specific ships, and so I can make stupid mistakes like releasing bullets right on top of a ship that explodes with 8 EM bullets. Of course giving ships colors would mean too many distracting colors at once, but I find this interesting =).

The built-in levels are very poorly done. However, the game does have a level editor implemented, which allows better levels like one by squarecirclehair, where the goal is to get from the word "start" to the word "end" by altering one letter a time. Essentially, unless the space of possible words is reduced, e.g. through squarecirclehair's level description, the game plays out as a guessing game with no hints and with lots of frustration, due to the clues being insufficient to suggest the desired answer.

Ooooh, so fun =). Simple but creative, good background music, acceptable controls. Made the right decision in having the stage restart instantly upon death. There's a lot of stages, but the stages also seem to have decent variety, so I'm guessing there's a combination of hand-coded designs as well as procedurally generated designs? I hope this game was fun for player_03 to create as well.

"Obama's Helment of Concussion"? Using "Obama's" as a possible gear adjective seems a foolish injection of politics into this game =/

Great game, but with several annoyances. I don't like how slow the food moves, and the curve it follows is too wide. Evolution is really slow, and losing cells is pretty costly (this imposes a difficulty level that I'm guessing is the reason for the lower ratings). Finally, it's not clear what determines batch groupings, which makes it hard to strategize cell growth.

The shop's random equipment generator is a REALLY BAD game idea. Either make a shop have a limited set of items, generated every time you return from a level, or make it have the full set of items, but please don't use this system of faking the full set of items but having a button randomly generate them. It just ruins the experience by moving focus away from the rest of the game. Just as an example, my preferred weapon was the Kokorinov (for the 5 range and 3 AP cost), and all I wanted was to find a new one, but I was able to refresh the shop over 100 times without ever seeing the weapon appear. It gets triply ridiculous when the player wants the tuned version of the item.

Got to wave 29 on my first try, surviving for 7 waves with only 3-5 attack drones. So I'm pretty sure all the complaints about difficulty are wrong. I'm pretty sure if I wasn't completely thrown off guard by the missiles (which brought my army of 12 drones down to about 5), I would've snatched up the hard badge. I might also have survived through the 30th wave if it weren't for a big glitch in the game, where lost drones continue to take up control after they're destroyed (particularly from bombs and missiles). That being said, the interface is imperfect but tolerable. My two biggest annoyances: 1) it's hard to move ships away from battle, since they default to attack mode. 2) It's nice that repair drones repair with a left-click, but for everything else, left-click selects a unit. The overlapping functionality confuses as much as it helps.

Fun. I like this type of shooting game. I remember playing the original version of StormWinds, though, and this new one seems to have gotten a lot easier. In the original version, the more expensive guns were actually necessary; I've been tearing through this one with just the basic cannon and support units. In hard difficulty, I *might* use the time gun, because the tiny helicopters are harder to hit. The enemies need to have more hit points and be more plentiful.

Awesome flash RPG. Excellent soundtrack, great character abilities, great item variety, great interface, great battle dynamic with it's reaction commands, superb dialogue that I actually want to read. What really won me over, though, was that Pseudolonewolf covered so many of the small details that your average online RPG just doesn't have: agility-based turns in battle (with equipment to boost agility), autosave(!), mapping functionality that tracks explored territory, some nice sidequests with extra bosses, party switching(!), different weapons having their unique look in battle. Somehow, the game was just the right length, and I was very glad to see that the arena only had 20 levels instead of some 50-100 level overkill, especially since exp and leveling were implemented for monsters as well. The only suggestions I have is to make the inventory interface keyboard accessible, and to make the character portraits less ugly (don't know if that was intentional or not). 5/5

While a good game with well-designed levels, gameplay gets somewhat tedious, since you can often determine the solution way before you can get the balls to roll it out.

An impossible badge pushed onto a game with no replay value. Also, the game is buggy. If you lose of one of two balls in endurance mode, you lose the game. That's a failure to implement something pretty basic.
