I don't think the graphics are that special, but they are fluid, show everything they need to, and don't get in the way of your seeing what you need to do. The graphics are wonderfully tasteful and compelled me to comment after only the first level. Simply amazing work.
With other games, investing in power early on and continuing to only increase power usually works fairly well. however, because the increases in power between weapons are so large, I found it was not very useful. I attempted an all agility build which worked just ok until I came to broken dmg (or as I like to call him, monkey magic). Now experimenting with a precision/defence/grit build with some chrome, which has served me well up until crimson tek, who should be easy once I buy one more piece of armor. What other builds have people come up with?
I'd prefer something like asterax where asteroids dropped cash that you could pick up. I only just finished the first level, but I love it so far. Was just starting to hope there'd be upgrades, and now I'm at the shop. The first level seemed very long. That's not really a problem, but there should be a count of how many objects are left displayed somewhere in the HUD so you don't feel like it's going forever (my first impression was it was spawning extra asteroids)
Tigax, that's an awesome idea, about the trembling fish, I'd love to see that implemented. The hit boxes were awesome in this game though, it doesn't punish you if you just graze a bigger fish
