I used the word "scooped" because I thought it gave me a cool mental image of literally scooping flames into a bowl (remember this fire is also somehow burning without any fuel, so we're allowed to suspend our belief a tiny bit). If you ever accidentally hit space or click and start the race at a slow speed, just let your lance fall to the ground. It saves you taking the damage from getting destroyed during that round.
My save has been cleared like 3 times now. I don't know what's happening, but it still makes me really angry. I want the badges, but I don't want to waste my time on what is an overall unimpressive game.

Am I the only person who stops being able to upgrade attack and defense during a battle? Not that it really matters when you have 4 thunder towers and a bunch of dragons, but it was giving me something to do.
A helpful tip for the game in general: You can kind of tell what pieces go where simply by the resolution of the image in a particular frame. They're all good quality images, so if a piece looks pixelated in a big square, it's because it goes in a smaller one.
I wish you could watch the rocket as it fell back to Earth. Once you get past the last altitude checkpoint, the fall practically takes a full minute and all I can see are planes and UFO's flying from behind the score box. We all know crashes are the best part of anything.

Damn it! I killed the third boss but as he was blowing up on the the shots he fired hit and killed me. I only got 99% completion, but I got the medal for killing him without taking damage.
