What the heck. . you cant even control who to attack or different attacks to use. . its like watching a movie, there is no gameplay of any kind. Can someone explain how this even qualifies as a game?
Ok, after really checking everything out and maxing the chars, I can tell you there is a big issue with the game. Progressing through levels does not give you a big enough increase in gold to line up with the HP of the enemies. The farther you advance, the slower your gold comes in. The fastest way to max your character is to park your butt at lvl 11 (or the highest lvl where you can 1-shot crit an enemy). This is an issue you should think about.
Here is a warning- it is very easy to miss the questline for Pim's device. After you talk to him about it and take the cassettes to Kevin, wait a short amount of time (I finished the quest for Olaf) and then go right back to Pim. If you wait until you are on your way to Qubba to talk to him again for the end-game story arc it will be too late and you will miss out on an amazing item!
Ok, heres 1 more tip. After you defeat the Federation Army, you have 5 Ultra trucks that burn through fuel like nobodys business, and about 25k fuel. If you don't want to sell the trucks, and don't to use up all your fuel driving them (thats like 8-9 million dollars worth of fuel..) then this tip is for you. Head straight to your bunker which has infinite storage and drop off all but 500L of fuel plus whatever else you might want to stash. This storage seems to be infinite. Next go across to the drekar camp and expand the storage by 4500kg for each truck you want to park. Each expansion of 4500 costs 225k, which is palatable at this point in the game for sure.
I think some changes might be needed to make vehicles practical and sustainable. There are no recurring enemies in the game that drop fuel (only the federation army during an event). You could stockpile fuel by purchasing it in the few towns that have it, but it wont last long. The strain is just too great, so in the end users will just roll with horses and carts and vehicles will go unused. I'm not sure what the solution is, but having enemies drop fuel later in the game would go a long way to help the situation. Having some sort of base where we could park cars and store them would also be fantastic.
Here is a neat trick. Early in the game when Calvin asks you to drive Kevin out of the house, tell him you will. Instead of ever doing that, help Kevin with the Liberation Army missions. The dialog to attack him is always there and never goes away. Once you get towards the end of the game when you can handle the reputation hit, attack him until hes panicking and imprison him. He will join your army for a mercenary fee and you can use his house for storage. You will lose a little reputation with everyone (pullid, kivi, liberation army, etc) and something like 200 from the Qubba government.
I captured a federation cop named Syda with stats 9/10/8/7, and I think I'm in love. I had to keep her locked in a cage for a week or two before she would agree to join me, but after that she signed on for 3k a week.. amazing! I used farm shinobis for my mercs, but the federation cops are even better!
@Mythrrinthael . .Yeah because I know whenever I buy a map IRL, I can always look on it and a magical indicator shows where I am :-p This is on purpose, u have to be careful not to get lost or you'll die in the desert.
Spencer Rice- world reknowned pascifist. Many religions exist based on his pacifistic believes... Me: "Spencer, i couldnt help but notice your morale keeps dropping." Spencer: "Yah. . im kinda bummed... not sure why." Me: "Well, hey I weakened this bandit, do you want to shoot him in the head and kill him?" Spencer: "Really?? Wow ok! *BOOM*.. Yahoo! Now i feel great my morale is rising!! Must kill more!"
