Yup, dark lord it is. . . I dont think anyone else can hack it on heroic with this ridiculous damage coming in. With the health, armor, and evade buffs on and life leech you are pretty much set.
Dron_777, "learn more" is ironic coming from someone who thinks Blackbeard was an American. That said, the setting is clearly colonial america.. so yes it makes sense. He never said "these are the best guys in world history!" or anything like that.
I think its a good game- free moving/shooting without requiring a "targeted enemy" is always the right choice though... "click to move" and "click an enemy to fire" makes the game seem cheap.
The 20s are a desolate wasteland for loot. The loot cycle starts over with REDs, meaning all your high rank boxes will be something like RIA 7 RED. This really is a huge frustration, please lower the percentage of boxes that yield red weapons to about 20% max. Otherwise, you had better hope you get your good weapons in the teens, because lvl 20 is hitting a brick wall in regard to loot.
I would say of all the powerful tricks in this game, absorb might be the only one that really goes to far.. . although walking around zapping fools for 18 million aoe dmg is fun, it really becomes all you need and trivializes the other runes and spells.
Omg. .. so right after posting this long "bug report" I realize its actually happening when the Ray path is obstructed and the Phada blows up early and not in the targeted area. I wish I could delete a post.
The issue with Phada is real/confirmed. If Phada deals damage to an enemy and the edge of the AOE zone comes within 2 squares straight (up, down, left, or right) or 1 square diagonally of your body, you can be hit. Basically, picture a diamond the shape of Phada around your body. If your Phada AOE zone diamond intersects with that imaginary diamond around you (and you damage an enemy), then you could be killed. I hope this helps someone avoid losing a 20th floor game like I did.
The full diamond shaped AOE - Phada. I have been experimenting with it, and sometimes it will hit you when you fire it close, even if you are not in the diamond. This only happens when there are enemies in the blast. I have not yet figured out the exact behavior or when/why it happens. Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks for the update KITECRIMSON! I realized by the end of the game there is way more money than you know what to do with, but replaying for cash will help get over that early hump where a mistake could cause you to restart the game. 5/5! Looking forward to the sequel! :-D
Whoa how is this only 3.8 stars?? The way everything works together, gravity, ice, combat. .this is so well done! I'm hard pressed to think of better platformers!
This game is great! If you are dying a lot (like I was) try the Thief, I found that class much more powerful than warrior, ranger, or paladin (have not tried the others yet). One question though- does anyone know why flash-bomb would become unusable at some point? I'm thinking it has a weapon type or skill exclusion requirement that was not mentioned. I could activate this skill early on, but at some point I couldn't anymore (permanently).
@TheLowerLight, The strongest builds in the game are INT builds. Go all INT/VIT with Plago and you can literally just walk through it like its nothing.
I've updated game. Now you can earn money for levels replay. Enjoy!
